Chapter 341 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Kingston forced out a smile. âStop acting like we are close friends!â Adam wasnât giving Kingston any respect. âWerenât the Langfords full of themselves just minutes ago? Come on, show me how arrogant you can be!â
When Kingston heard that, his expression darkened. If it had been someone else who humiliated him today, he would have flipped his lid long ago. However, he just couldnât afford to offend the man standing in front of him.
âWhy arenât you saying anything? Werenât you all high and mighty just now? You even had the guts to bully my friend!â Adam pointed at them and hauled them over the coals.
Kingston and Luis dropped their heads, falling into silence.
At the sight of that, the guests were stunned. Who would have expected that there would be a day when Kingston from the Langford family would be chewed out publicly and dared not talk back?
It was indeed shocking.
âWhat are you waiting for? Kneel down and apologize to my friend now!â Adam shouted.
âThisâ¦â Kingston frowned, his expression gloomy
As the direct descendants of the Langfords, how could they possibly get down on their knees for
someone else?
If outsiders knew about it, their reputation would be tarnished.
âAdam, you shouldnât go too far!â Luis was slightly bent out of shape.
Raising his hand, Adam slapped Luis in the face. âDo you think you can stop me?â
âYouâ Luis parted his lips. However, before he could say anything, he received another slap
across his cheek.
âIâll break your legs if you donât apologize today!â Adam was extremely assertive.
Luisâ eyes blazed murderously as he gritted his teeth. Although he was livid, deep down, he knew that he couldnât afford to mess with such a powerful man.
âGet on your knees and apologize!â Adam shouted again.
Just as Luis was about to yield to them, a majestic voice floated across the air. âAdam, donât you think
you are going to the extremes by treating my Langfords like this?â
At the same time, a bearded, burly middle-aged man with an imposing demeanor walked in.
It was the head of the Langford family, Ethan Langford!
âUncle Ethan!â
âEthan!â
When Kingston and Luis saw Ethan, their eyes lit up at once. It was as if they had found their savior. They couldnât afford to offend Adam because they had no real power in their hands.
However, Ethan was different. Not only did he have an official position, but he also possessed great authority, just like Adam. When it came to seniority, even Adam had to show Ethan to show him a certain degree of respect.
With Ethan around, it was hard for Adam to take advantage of the situation.
âOh, itâs Mr. Ethan I didnât know you would be here too.â Adam was quite surprised.
âToday is my nephewâs engagement ceremony. As his elder, itâs natural for me to attend,â Ethan replied faintly. âLuckily, I came here in time, or else the Langfords would end up at the mercy of others â
âMr Ethan, it was them who threw their weights around. I was just helping you teach them a lessonâ Adam faked a smile.
âHmph! Even if they made a mistake, an outsider like you is in no position to punish them!â Ethanâs gaze was frosty.
âWhat if I insist on doing so?â Adam arched his brow.
âWell, then weâll have to see if you have the ability to walk your talk.â Ethan waved his hand.
Right then, two white-haired men appeared behind Ethan. One of them was taller than the other. Just looking at their stance, one could tell they were unfathomably powerful.
Upon seeing them, even Adam couldnât help but frown.
