Chapter 411 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âYour men seem to be quite useless. Isnât it my turn to attack now?â Dustin yawned lazily.
Lord Horstâs countenance grew somber, his expression turning grave. He knew almost every skilled fighter
there was in Millsburg but was coming up blank when it came to Dustin.
Could Dustin be from somewhere else?
âI admire your fighting skills, kid, but I doubt youâre skilled enough to stop a bullet.â Lord Horst recovered from his shock and turned serious. âIâve met people like you before, thinking they could cause trouble just because they had some skills. But in the end, all of them got shot to death. In this society, skills alone arenât enough. You still need power and family backgrounds. Would you like to make a bet with me? With just a few words, I
can send you to prison.â
Edmund and the others began worrying for Dustin, who may be a good fighter but was still no match for Lord
Horst.
Putting the manâs family connections aside, the men under his control alone should be more than Dustin can
handle. After all, how could one man possibly win against thousands?
âHumph! So what if you can fight? Youâre still losing to Lord Horst!â Mike spat scornfully, seeming to have forgotten how pitiful heâd looked earlier.
âYouâre Lord Horst, right? I suggest you donât try to provoke me. Iâm not worried about the consequences, but
you might not even have the time to regret it if I end up killing you.â
âYou-â Lord Horstâs face twitched. Although he was adept in situations like these, nothing good would come
out of butting heads with someone as foolhardy as Dustin.
âAlright. Enough with the chitchat. Let Mr. Robinson and the rest go for now. Weâll settle our differences then.â Dustinâs expression was indifferent, but inside, he was already plotting their deaths. Should Lord Horst and his men continue to press him, Dustin didnât mind getting rid of them once and for all. After all, heâd be doing
society a huge favor.
âFine. Iâll let them go this time.â Lord Horst thought about it and agreed.
âWhat the hell are you guys waiting for? Scram!â the suited man roared.
âOâof course! Right away!â Mike hurriedly led the students out of the place.
âWhat about you?â Abigail suddenly asked Dustin. She had changed her mind about him after witnessing his
unwavering bravery.
âIâll be fine. Go with your father. Iâll be fine.â Dustin gave her a small smile.
âMr. Rhysâ¦â Edmund wanted to say something, but Dustin raised his hand to silence the older man.
âYou guys will only distract me. Go home.â
Edmund still looked conflicted but eventually left with his daughter. As Dustin said, they wouldnât be able to help him anyway. Still, Edmund could ask the Harmon family for help. He believed that, with Ruthâs support,

Lord Horst wouldnât trouble Dustin too much.
âHey, kid. Your friends are all gone. Isnât it time to settle our score?â Lord Horst finally spoke.
âHow do you propose we do that? Dustin wore a mask of a smile on his face.
âYou seem to have pretty good moves. Why donât you work for me? I promise to let this matter go, and youâll live a wealthy life from now on!â Lord Horst suggested.
âHmm I thought you were going to see this issue to the end.â Dustin was surprised.
âIâve got nothing against you. Thereâs no need for us to take things so far for something so minor. Iâve been through this before. All Iâm interested in now is money, not excitement.â Lord Horst lit himself a cigarette.
âInteresting.â Dustin smiled. âTo tell you the truth, I was ready to kill all of you, but Iâve changed my mind.â
Lord Horst froze, startled, and the cigarette in his mouth fell to the floor.
Damn it! Dustin was one of those hotheaded fools!
