Chapter 444 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âAre you out of your mind? How could you attack someone from the Doyle family?â Nina and the others went pale as a sheet when they saw Duncan lying on the floor, unconscious. They never expected Dustin to be so bold.
âSo what?â Dustin replied, unconcerned. âHmmph! What an ignorant fool!â Nina glanced at him disdainfully. âThe Doyle family is one of the Fabulous Five. You might end up as a corpse floating in the Ziby River by tomorrow!â
âReally? I donât think so.â Dustin shrugged. âDonât think you can do whatever you want just because youâre rich. The Doyle family is far stronger than you can imagine.â Mike informed scornfully. Terry Doyle is also a protective man. If he hears that his family was attacked, heâll take this seriously! If I were you, Iâd start apologizing to them and atoning for my sins. That way. you might still have a chance of survival.â
Dustin gave the other man a small smile in response. âWell, you arenât me.â
âIâve said what I needed to say. Since youâre being so foolish, good luck. Letâs go!â Mike sneered and got up to leave. He didnât want to get caught up in this mess with the Doyle family.
âHmmph! Itâs no use talking to people like you. When the time comes, youâll learn just how powerful they are.â Nina shot Dustin a glare before following Mike.
âDude, word of advice? Leave Millsburg right now. Run as far as you can before itâs too late,â the group cautioned before leaving hurriedly, worried they might get roped in as well.
âWhat should we do now? You seem to have gotten yourself in trouble now. I shouldnât have encouraged you earlier.â Abigail muttered worriedly. She has heard of the Doyle family before as well. They were people whom ordinary citizens like her could never cross.
âCalm down. Itâs no big deal.â Dustin smiled.
âYeah, right. Quit bragging.â Abigail huffed.
âYouâll find out soon.â Dustin chuckled but didnât explain further.
âThanks for that just now.â Just then, Ruby walked over and nodded her head at Dustin.
âYouâre welcome. That chubster just happened to annoy me.â Dustin waved her off before suddenly thinking of something. âOh, right. Remember to return my ten million dollars.â
âWhat?â Ruby was stunned. She didnât expect him to bring up money at that moment.
âHey, how can you ask someone to pay back the money youâve already gifted out? Thatâs such a spineless move.â Abigail gave him an odd look.
âI was only doing that to defend you guys. You donât expect me to still give my money away, do you?â Dustin splayed out his hands.
âYouâre an interesting guy. Sure. Iâll return your money to you. Let me get your contact first.â
Ruby smiled and exchanged numbers with Dustin before continuing. âYou can call me if the Doyle family tries anything funny.â
âHuh?â Dustin was surprised. From the way Ruby spoke, he could tell that there was more than what met the eye.
âItâs late, Abigail. Iâll be going home now. Talk to you soon,â Ruby waved her hand and turned to leave..
âHey, kid. Whoâs that friend of yours? She doesnât seem like an ordinary person.â Dustin casually asked.
âI heard that she comes from a rich family, but I donât know what business theyâre in.â Abigail shook her head. âForget it. Letâs go. Your dadâs going to get worried.â Pushing the matter aside. Dustin and Abigail quickly left.
