Chapter 451 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Meanwhile, in the backyard, a gorgeous woman sat gracefully on the arched bridge over the pond, her gaze fixed on the fish swimming in the water.
Her feet dangled in the air, and her toes would occasionally break the waterâs surface.
Bathed in warm sunlight, she resembled a fairy, taking oneâs breath away effortlessly. Even the colorful blossoms in the garden paled in comparison to her.
There was a splash as the woman flung a handful of fish feed into the pond.
Instantly, thousands of fish swarmed near her and thrashed around, splashing water everywhere. The colorful fish painted a gorgeous painting as they fought for good.
âI envy you fish. You can live without worrying about anything, unlike me, who canât even decide what I like.â The woman sighed, her expression turning sad.
âWho said you canât?â A familiar voice rang out behind her.
The woman froze before laughing at herself. âIâm even beginning to hallucinate in broad daylight now.â
âHallucinate? Itâs not that serious, is it?â The voice rang out again.
This time, the woman froze and slowly turned around to see a man step into the rays of sunlight and approach
her.
The person was none other than Dustin.
âWâwhat are you doing here?â Natasha was so elated to see the person she had been missing dearly that she even doubted her eyes. She had been confined in her room for some time now, the isolation nearly throwing
her into depression.
âDidnât I say Iâd come to look for you in Millsburg if you donât return to Swinton? Iâm keeping my promise right now.â Dustin smiled softly.
âYouâre the best, Dear!â Smiling sweetly, Natasha forgot about the fish feed and threw herself into his arms. looking as happy as the fish in the pond.
Dustin finally felt his nervousness dissipate as he inhaled her familiar scent. Heâd been worried ever since Natasha left Swinton, his worry only growing when he learned that she was going to marry Tyler. Now that he finally got to see her, he felt much calmer.
âAhem. Mind your manners,â an unhappy voice lectured from behind them.
The two turned around to see a middleâaged woman standing behind Ruth.
âMrs. Davys, I wish to talk to my friend. You may leave us.â Natasha waved her away.
âIâm sorry, Ms. Natasha. Mr. Harmon told me to keep an eye on the two of you.â Mrs. Davys shook her head.
âHmmph! Why is that stubborn old man being so cautious? Does he think weâre going to elope?â Natasha huffed.
Mrs. Davys lowered her head without replying.
