Chapter 455 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
After struggling for half an hour, everyone finally managed to drink the antidote. Although they were still weak and pale, their lives were no longer in danger.
By the time they were finished, Natasha collapsed on the floor, worn out, and Dustin heaved a sigh of relief. It was fortunate that he had so many drugs on hand, or thereâd be no way he could deal with so many poisoned patients.
âThank God youâre here, Dustin, or our family would have been done for.â Hector pulled himself up, his face full of gratitude. The Harmon family had nearly been wiped out.
âYouâre welcome, Mr. Harmon. I just did what I had to.â Dustin replied, waving his arm.
âUncle Hector, donât you find this suspicious?â Quentin suddenly asked. âWhy does this guy have the antidote?â
âWhat are you implying?â Hector frowned.
âEveryone who joined the gathering is either from our family or our esteemed guests. Everyone knows each other very well, while this guy is merely a stranger,â Quentin said, locking suspiciously at Dustin.
âAre you saying Iâm the one who poisoned you?â Dustin narrowed his eyes.
âHmmph! Someone from the inside was involved in this incident. You were able to correctly identify the cause and provide the antidote. Shouldnât we be suspicious of you?â Quentin asked.
âStop spouting nonsense! Why would he save you if he was the traitor?â Natasha yelled.
âTo earn our trust, obviously!â Quentin answered confidently. âHe orchestrated this entire thing. He first poisoned us before saving us with the antidote. This is not the first time Iâm seeing such dirty tactics!â
His words immediately drew everyoneâs attention to Dustin, their gazes conveying various emotions. Wariness. Distrust. Confusion. Anger.
After some thinking, they realized what Quentin said was logical. After all, everyone present had a vested interest and knew each other inside out, and the only stranger was Dustin, which made it hard not to suspect
him.
âHow absurd!â Natasha cried indignantly. âQuentin Harmon! Dustin saved your life just now, but youâre accusing him wrongfully? What kind of person are you?â
âIâm just trying to help everyone figure out who the mole is,â Quentin replied unapologetically.
âFine! You said that Dustin is the traitor. Whereâs the proof?â Natasha demanded.
âIsnât all this proof enough?â Quentin sneered. âAll of us were poisoned, but he was completely fine, so who else could it be?â
His words caused an uproar.
âHeâs right! All of us were poisoned except that guy. How fishy!â
âExactly. I was wondering why he was fine, but he turned out to be the person who poisoned us!*

Chapter 455
âWhat a treacherous man! Why on earth did I even thank him for? Ugh!â
Everyoneâs opinion about Dustin began to sway under Quentinâs prodding. Instead of appreciative gazes, all Dustin received now were furious glares.
Hearsay sure was dangerous. In no time, Dustin found himself labeled guilty.
âShut up!â Natasha yelled, infuriated. âAre you guys crazy? Dustin saved you, but instead of thanking him, youâre pointing your fingers at him? Unbelievable!â
âNatasha, this is a serious matter. I think we should look into this issue properly.â Trent suddenly spoke.
âI agree!â Jacob shouted abruptly. âI say we arrest and interrogate him for everyoneâs safety!â
âArrest him! Arrest him!â the Harmon family chanted agitatedly.
It was as if Dustin had suddenly turned into a criminal.
