Chapter 471 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âI guess you can say that I have quite an influence here in Millsburg, so if any of you ever run into any problems here, you can come to me,â Terrence said as he handed out his name card. As he spoke, he shot Dahlia one too many glances. A hint of lust flashed in his eyes. Dahlia was, after all, a bombshell. Not only did she have a perfect figure, but her face was also exquisite. She was unlike any other woman heâd seen before and definitely in a much different league compared to Julie.
âVery impressive, Mr. Stone! Here, take a seat, everyone.â As Florence gestured for them to take their seats, she called out to the waitstaff, âExcuse me, weâre ready for our meal now!â
âHang on,â Dahlia piped up. âWeâre missing one person.â
âOh? Who else are we expecting?â Florence looked around them, puzzled.
Just as Dahlia was about to speak, Dustin gracefully made his way in through the doors. âOver here!â Dahlia stood up and beckoned for Dustin to join them. Her company turned around to see who it was and collectively
frowned.
âWhy is he here?â Florence was obviously displeased. Because of her prejudice toward him, she still held him
in disdain.
âSorry to keep you all waiting.â Dustin went up to them and smiled politely.
âWe werenât waiting for you!â Florence said curtly. âYou sure are a pesky one, Rhys! Weâve just arrived in Millsburg, and youâve followed us here? You havenât been tailing us, have you?â
âI think youâre mistaken. Iâve been in Millsburg for the past few days.â Dustin said calmly.
âHah! Who knows if you knew that weâd be coming here beforehand?â Florence pursed her lips. Her daughter was now the chairwoman of Cardinal Group, and sheâd had a huge leap in status. Dustin was nowhere good
enough for her anymore.
âDonât say that, Mom. I was the one who invited Dustin for lunch,â Dahlia explained.
âFine, whatever. Since youâre already here, you can join us.â Florence couldnât be bothered to argue with him.
âHave a seat,â Dahlia patted the seat beside her, indicating Dustin to sit beside her.
Her caring and attentive gesture, however, seemed to have caught Terrenceâs attention. A cold glint rose in his eyes. âDamn it! Why would such a gorgeous and thoughtful woman be attracted to such a douchebag?â He thought to himself.
âBuddy, you donât sound like youâre local. Mind sharing where youâre working?â Terrence smiled insincerely.
âWhere heâs working? Hah! Heâs just a grubby old medical practitioner with no formal qualifications,â Florence scorned. From how she saw things, Dustinâs success today was all thanks to Natasha. Simply put, he was
nothing more than a toy boy.
âYou practice medicine without qualifications?â Terrence was briefly stunned before he burst out laughing.â Thatâs a rare one. Youâd barely be able to sustain yourself with such a job, would you? Things must be hard for you.â He was blatantly poking fun and regarded Dustin with a dismissive attitude.
1/2
âYouâre right. It is tough. I barely get any patients. Iâd call it a good month if I even get five patients coming in.â Dustin said, unbothered by Terrenceâs comments.
âHah! Then why are you still practicing it?â Terrence adjusted his tie and said pompously. âI say, why donât you work for me? It just so happens that Iâm in need of a chauffeur. If you can drive, why donât you be my chauffeur? Iâll pay you a monthly salary of ten thousand dollars. Howâs that?â âThanks. I appreciate the offer, but Iâm not interested.â Dustin shook his head.
