Chapter 481 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Dustin was in a dilemma. âDahlia, you know Iâm only average at martial arts. Iâve never been a Chief Security
Officer before. Donât you think Iâm not suited for that post?â He was good at fighting and treating illnesses, but he had no experience holding an executive position in a company. It just didnât feel right.
âYou just need to be good at fighting.â Dahlia smiled at him. âYou donât need to do anything. You just need to oversee safety matters and, at the same time, protect me from harm.â
âDustin didnât know what to say.
âHmph! If you donât want to do it, fine.â She pulled a long face. âIâll just die a quick death if someone wants to harm me. Itâs no big deal.â
âCome on, itâs not that serious.â His eyes twitched.
Dahlia responded, âYouâre right, itâs not that serious. Nicholson Corp. has tens of billions in assets. Of course, I donât need any protection as the newly appointed chairman. Itâs not like anyone is after their shares. Please. just remember to collect my body when Iâm assassinated.â
âStop speaking like that. Alright, Iâll do it, okay?â He smiled bitterly. This woman had started learning some tricks.
âDonât force yourself. I donât want you to regret your decision.â Dahlia said.
Dustin shook his head continuously Iâm not forcing myself. And I wonât regret it.â
âAlright! Youâre the one who said it; I didnât force you.â She immediately flashed a beautiful smile.
He was helpless. âI feel like Iâve fallen into your trap.â
âYou should be grateful. There are people waiting for the opportunity to be trapped.â She looked up at him proudly.
âNot to mention, Iâll treat you well. I didnât prepare any gifts today, so Iâll give you a small reward first.â She stood up on her tiptoes and swiftly landed a peck on his cheek.
As she drew back, a waft of a light fragrance followed. Dustin froze and looked at her funny. âDahlia, you seem to have turned into a delinquent.â
âDonât guys like delinquent girls?â Dahlia retorted wittily. However, her face turned bright red. In the end, she wasnât able to act freely without restraint like Natasha could.
Dustin was thinking of a response when his phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Patrick.
âHello, Dustin? Sorry for bothering you.â
âItâs okay. Is there anything I can help you with, Patrick?â Dustinâs tone was pleasant.
âWell, the thing is, even though my grandfatherâs condition has stabilized, heâs been coughing nonstop these past few days, and he doesnât seem to be in good spirits either. I recalled that you mentioned he needs to take some medicinal wine?â

âMedicinal wine?â Dustin was confused for a moment before it hit him. âOh, Iâm sorry! Iâve been so busy these
past two days that Iâve forgotten about it. But no worries; Iâve had it brewed beforehand. Iâll get someone to
deliver it to you immediately.â
âI see. Sorry for the trouble.â Patrick breathed a sigh of relief.
âItâs no trouble. Itâs an oversight on my part.â Dustin felt embarrassed. Because of the Harmonsâ annual family
gathering, heâd forgotten about the Hill family.
After he hung up, he made a call to Edmund. âHello, Mr. Robinson. Can you help me check if the medicinal wine I left in the kitchen is still there?â
Very soon, Edmund responded, âItâs here. What should I do with it, Mr. Rhys?â
âIâm unable to leave at the moment. Could you please help me deliver the medicinal wine to Patrick Hill at the Hill family residence?â
Edmund agreed immediately. âNo problem. Iâll go right away!â
30 minutes later, a Mazda came to a slow stop in front of the gates of the Hill family residence. The car door opened, and Edmund got off carefully while carrying the medicinal wine in his arms.
âHey! What are you here for?â The guard by the gates yelled.
Edmund smiled apologetically. âSir, Iâm here to deliver wine to Sir Patrick Hill on Mr. Rhysâ orders.â For an affluent family like the Hills, even the guards thought that they were above others.
âMr. Rhys? Which Rhys?â the guard questioned.
