Chapter 502 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Dahlia might have the backing of Regulus Nicholson, but the patriarch in Glenstead was too far away from Balerno to pose any threat.
âOh, it shouldnât be a problem if sheâs nothing special.â Nelson chuckled. âSheâd better not show up! If she ever does, Iâll make it tough on her!â It was simply ridiculous for a person who wasnât rich or powerful to demand money from him.
âLord Horst, Iâll have to trouble you for this. When itâs done, Iâll send you a gift.â Hank bowed to Nelson.
âHaha! Not a problem. Weâre brothers. Take it easy.â A wide smile appeared on Nelsonâs face. Based on his past experiences, the mention of a âgiftâ would imply at least a million dollars in monetary reward.
âLord Horst â¦â One of Nelsonâs men knocked on the door during the conversation. Nelson raised his brows unhappily. âWhat? Canât you see that Iâm in a business meeting with my client?â
âA few visitors demanded to see you. They would like you to pay your debts,â the man reported the situation. âOh, they sure act fast! Speak of the devil!â Nelson rubbed his chin.
Hank cracked a smile. âLord Horst, I shall be the audience for your show.â
âOpen your eyes wide and see how I teach her a lesson!â With a slap on the table, Nelson rose and marched out of the room. At the same time, Hank went to the window and watched the situation unfold from the gap between the curtains.
Meanwhile, Dahlia was standing at the entrance to the Flame Dragon Properties with Dustin to her left and Julie to her right.
âDahlia, should we call it off? Look at the men in there! They are scowling and glaring at us. Itâs so terrifying!â Julie cowered behind them and swallowed hard in fear. The Flame Dragon Gang was known for its
ruthlessness, and she was gravely concerned that the gang might sexually assault her after she entered their nest.
âWeâre already at the entrance. We canât give up at the last minute, right?â Dahlia, however, was calm and composed.
âDahlia, the gang is violent! What if Julie stammered because, at that moment, she saw Nelson emerging with a bunch of men in tow, ready to fight. She was shaking at the sight of his contracted brows and his deathlike stare.
âWhoâs the daredevil who asks me to pay up?â Nelson marched forward fearlessly.
âItâs me.â Dahlia took a step forward and announced in a shrill voice, âLord Horst, itâs only fair to pay your debts. Itâs time for you to pay the 70 million you owe to my company.â
âHaha! Youâre quite bold!â Cackling, Nelson gestured at the men. âSomeone get me my saber!â
âYes, Sir!â The men replied and immediately hauled out a brass ring saber for him.
âCrap! Weâre done for!â Looking pale, Julie seemed ready to faint. Similarly, Dahlia was nervous about Nelsonâs Chaucer SIZ actions.
âHmph! They overestimated themselves!â A gleeful smile spread on Hankâs face as he stared down from the windows above.
âNelson Horst, are you seriously going to slash people when youâre in the wrong for not paying your debts?â Dustin suddenly emerged from behind Dahlia.
âHmm?â When Nelson saw Dustin, he appeared to be struck by lightning and dropped the brass ring saber
onto the ground. Realizing the gravity of their situation, he turned around and slapped one of his men on the face as he yelled, âWhy the fuck did you even bring that saber to me? Quick! Get me a check!â
