Chapter 504 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âHave a good day, Sir Rhys!â Nelson bowed deeply to the trio as they left. âHave a good day. Sir Rhys!â The members of the Flame Dragon Gang mimicked Nelson and chanted loudly.
Hank had run down to the first floor from his viewing point when he figured that something was off. He confronted Nelson. âLord Horst, whatâs wrong? Why did you pay her back?â
Nelson had promised to teach Dahlia a lesson, but upon the meeting. Nelson obediently paid the debts without a word of protest. Since when were the Flame Dragon Gang such losers?
âOh, âwhyâ you fucking ask?â Nelson turned around and glowered as he hissed, âDid you know whoâs the guy beside that lady just now?â
âWasnât he just a bodyguard? Whatâs so special about that?â Hank frowned, confused by Nelsonâs reaction.
âJust a bodyguard?!â After the initial shock, Nelson smacked Hank hard on the back of his head and rebuked, â You blind fuckwit! Thatâs our new gang leader!â
âWhat? Your new gang leader?â Hank was stunned.
âSon of a bitch! I almost died because of you. Donât you ever show up in front of me. Now, get lost!â Incandescent with rage, Nelson flung the Rolex watch in Hankâs face. Hank was simmering with anger but dared not talk back. So, he left with his tail between his legs. Never had he expected Dahlia to be acquainted with a powerful figure like Dustin.
âDustin, are you really the new leader of the Flame Dragon Gang?â Unable to suppress her curiosity, Dahlia blurted out the question. She was still in disbelief, but she figured out that something was not quite right judging from Nelsonâs behavior.
âYou saw it with your own eyes just now. How could that be fake?â Dustin shrugged his shoulders.
âI mean, how did you become the leader?â She gave him a funny look.
âI was acknowledged for my outstanding moral integrity. Did you seriously think I fought my way to the
position?â He asked her with a straight face.
âIs that true?â She shot him a doubtful glance. He gave her a halfâsmile. âWhat do you think?â
âWhatever. I donât care how you ended up as the leader, but I only have one thing to ask of youâdo not stir
trouble!â She stared at him with a serious face.
âDonât worry. I wonât hurt others as long as they donât hurt me. From now on, the Flame Dragon Gang will not
commit any sort of crime,â he vowed.
âThatâs good to hear that.â She let out a relieved sigh. Before this, she was genuinely worried that Dustin had been led astray and committed crimes like murder or robbery.
âDustin Rhys, I couldnât tell that you were related to the Flame Dragon Gang!â Julie suddenly spoke up. âBut you shouldnât get ahead of yourself. The gang isnât made up of good guys, and they will get themselves into
1/2
trouble sooner or later. I advise you to get back on the right path before you get arrested and jailed for some crime.â
âYou donât have to worry about that. Just take care of yourself,â he replied blandly.
âHmph! You little ingrate!â Julie pouted. Even though she held Dustin in higher regard, he was still far behind Terrence.
âAlright now. Stop the bickering. We have settled the first challenge, but that still leaves us with the second challengeâthe business deal with Brooks Corporation.â Dahlia steered the conversation.
âDahlia, I canât promise to be of help in most cases, but I can totally help you out on this one!â Julie patted her chest confidently.
âWhatâs your plan?â Dahlia was curious to know.
âHave you forgotten that my Terrence is a manager at the Brooks Corporation? If heâs willing to speak up for us, thereâs no deal we canât seal!â Julie sounded proud.
âIs that so?â Dahliaâs eyes lit up with joy.
âOf course!â Julie put on a smug smile. âGiven Terrenceâs connections, heâll only need to put in a good word, and itâs a done deal!â
Hearing that, Dustin smiled wryly and gave them a shake of the head. âOh, you shouldnât get ahead of yourself, Julie. Terrence canât even save his own ass in that company. How is he going to help Dahlia?â
