Chapter 506 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âWait!â Julie ran up to the middleâaged man just as he was about to leave. âMr. Suzman, you might not know me, but you must know Terrence Stone.â
*Terrence Stone?â The man lifted an eyebrow. âWhat do you three have to do with him?â
*Terrence is my boyfriend!â Julie beamed proudly. âMr. Suzman, I believe that he has already given you a heads -up. Now, can we go to your office?â
âNo, you canât.â The man put on a frosty look. âIâll repeat: you have to make an appointment to meet with me.â
âWhat?â Julie was slightly taken aback by his attitude. âMr. Suzman, did you not hear me? Iâm Terrenceâs girlfriend, and Iâm here to talk business.â
âSo what?â The man snickered. âEven if it were Terrence who came to see me, heâd have to make an
appointment too!â
âYou-â Julie choked on anger and refused to believe that Mr. Suzman would shut her out. He wouldnât even budge at the mention of Terrence.
âJulie, it looks like nameâdropping wonât work around here.â Dustin flashed her a halfâsmile. Her eyes twitched, and her expression crumbled. She showed up confidently, only to be let down.
Still she glanced at the man. âMr. Suzman, youâre colleagues with Terrence. Do you want to get on bad terms with him?â
âSo what? Get lost now, or else!â The man bellowed at them. Julieâs cheeks burned in shame as she huffed
and puffed. âYouâre a bully!â
âCole Suzman! Acting like youâre something, arenât you?â Terrence snorted and marched toward the group.
Julie was overjoyed to see her boyfriend and instantly went up to him and started complaining. âTerrence, you came at the right time! I was bullied by that guy just now!â
âYes, I saw everything. Let me handle this from here.â He nodded and cast a sharp look at the middleâaged man. âCole Suzman, youâre getting bolder these days. I havenât seen you in a few days, and now, you donât
even show me respect.â
âAnd who are you? Why do you deserve my respect?â Cole Suzman wore an indifferent expression,
âHah, youâre acting like you donât have a clue.â Terrence sneered at him. âSuzman, apologize to my girlfriend now, or Iâll make you regret it! Donât blame me for not giving you a chance!*
âHmph! Did you hear him? Apologize to me now! Julie grinned gleefully. Although both men were managers. Terrence had stronger support from upper management. Getting on top of Cole Suzman was a piece of cake for him.
âTerrence Stone, are you dumb or what? Do you think you deserve an apology from me? Who do you think you are, the human resources manager?â Cole merely smirked at the ridiculous demand.
âWhat?!â Frowning, Terrence questioned, âWhat was that?â
âAh, it looks like youâre still in the dark. The company issued a notice this morning to fire you and put you under investigation immediately. You are no longer a manager now.â Cole informed him.
âWhat did you say? Fired and put under investigation? How could that be?!â Terrenceâs expression stiffened.
âDonât trust me? Just check your phone. They should have sent the notice of termination to you by now.â Cole snickered.
Terrence quickly checked his phone, and he seemed to be struck by lightning. Sweating profusely, he realized that he had indeed been fired.
