Chapter 507 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âHâhow could that be? Iâ impossible!â Terrenceâs eyes were bulging with disbelief. Although he did not put much effort into the job, at least he didnât make any mistakes. On top of that, he was carefree during his time with the company because he had the backing of the higherâups. Given his social connections, it wouldnât make sense for him to get fired. He couldnât wrap his head around the situation.
âTerrence, youâre fired?â Julie was bugâ eyed when she noticed the change in Terrenceâs expression. He had promised her the business contract, but how did he end up losing his job instead?
âIt looks like thereâs trouble.â Dahlia furrowed her brows and appeared pensive. She had pinned her hopes on Terrence, but he wouldnât be of any help anymore.
âCole Suzman, be honestâwere you playing dirty behind my back?â Terrence fixed his gaze on Cole.
âWhy would I do so when thereâs nothing between us? Plus, even if I wanted, I wouldnât have the power to do that. You should look at yourself for the reason,â Cole said impassionately. He had long been frustrated by employees who were coasting at work, and he was more than pleased to see Terrence fired.
âBullshit! No one else could have done that except for you! You must have ratted on me!â Terrence glowered at him. He had embezzled money when he was on the job, and Cole must have found the evidence.
âWell, if you insist on thinking so, I canât do anything about it.â Cole could not be bothered to explain himself. After all, he couldnât care less since Terrence was no longer an employee.
âYouâre wicked, Cole Suzman!â Terrenceâs features contorted into a threatening scowl. âIf you think youâve won, youâre wrong! Iâll let you knowâI have backing within the company. Even if Iâm fired today, I will get rehired
tomorrow!â
âOh, really? And whoâs that person backing you?â Cole questioned him.
âYou might want to sit down for this. My uncle is the CEO of the company!â Terrence announced proudly.
âThat explains why a guy like you would work your way into a managerial role. Itâs all thanks to your connection!â Coleâs expression fell He heard about Terrenceâs jawâdropping social connections, but he never thought that Terrence was a relative of the CEO. He worried that he might be in trouble.
âAre you afraid now?â Terrence sneered.
âSuzman, if you were the one who ratted me out, you made the dumbest mistake in your life. Apologize to me now, or youâll be the one whoâs kicked out tomorrow!â Given his uncleâs authority in the company, getting rid of a manager was an easy task.
âTerrence Stone, donât be smug. Do you think you can do as you wish just because you have connections?â Cole frowned disapprovingly.
âThatâs right! I can do anything I wish with the backing of my uncle. Why? Are you unhappy about it? What are you going to do?â Terrence threw his head back and laughed, knowing that heâd be fine in any crisis as long as his uncle was in the company.
âTerrence, I didnât know your uncle was the CEO! Thatâs amazing!â Julle gave him a look of adoration. A department manager was nothing compared to the CEO.
Chapter 507
âHmph, Iâm doing well in the company, itâs all thanks to my connections!â Terrence held his head high.
âSee that. Dahlia? Thatâs how amazing Terrenceâs connections are! He can easily take care of a business
contract for us!â Looking conceited, Julie turned her attention to Dustin. âDustin, do you have anything else to
say? Are you convinced now?â
Dustin just smiled back at her. At first, Terrence was the only one who got into trouble. After this commotion,
Terrence unknowingly dragged his uncle down. He bet Terrenceâs uncle would cry at the thought of having
Terrence as his nephew.
âSuzman, what are you standing there for? I said to apologize to me now! I can take everything from you by making just one call!â Terrence grew aggressive.
âYouâd better not go too far!â Cole shot him a stern look.
âSo what if I do? I can afford to do that anyway!â Terrence snickered.
Cole stammered at his audacity. âYâyou-â
Terrence wasnât wrongâhe was able to do what he liked with the CEOâs backing.
âYou ran into a wall didnât you? Itâs all your fault for being cocky, and itâs too late to regret your actions now!â Julie smirked gleefully.
