Chapter 519 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âWhat are you talking about?â Dustin tightened his grip around Azaleaâs neck, suffocating her so hard that her face flushed.
Without feeling any ounce of fear, Azalea smiled and said in a hoarse voice, âIf I die, not only you wonât be able to catch the murderer, but Natasha will also suffer. Youâd better think about it properly.â
âAre you threatening me?â When Dustin narrowed his eyes, a touch of murderous intent was laced in his gaze.
âI dare not. This is just my advice to you.â Azalea curled up the corners of her lips.
âWhat exactly do you want?â Dustin demanded coldly.
Instead of saying anything, Azalea pointed at her neck.
Her message was loud and clear.
With a slight frown, Dustin still let go of her neck.
Azalea slumped down on the floor in an instant and panted heavily. âIt hurts. Miracle doctor, I was just joking. Why did you have to be so rough?â
âI have no time to joke with you. Youâd better tell me everything that you know.â He shot her a piercing glare.
âFine. Since you want to know about it so badly, Iâll just tell you the truth.â Patting her clothes, Azalea sat beside him and took a sip of his drink. âYouâve guessed it right. Hector is framed, and the one behind this is the Grant family.â
âThe Grant family?â Dustin raised his brow. âWhere is the evidence? How am I supposed to know that youâre not lying?â
This woman in front of him was too unpredictable. He couldnât bring himself to believe her.
âWhatâs the point of lying to you?â Azalea rolled her eyes.
âDo you even need a reason to tell a lie?â Dustinâs expression was frosty.
âYou know me well!â She chuckled. âBut Iâm telling the truth this time, and I even have the murdererâs location with me.â
âWhere?â
âA hidden safe house.â With a flick of her wrist, a piece of paper fell on the table. âHereâs the address.â
Dustin took a look at it. âIs this the real address?â
âYou have my word. However, I can only guarantee you that the murderer will be there for an hour. After that, the murderer will move to a different place,â Azalea said.
Dustin nodded his head, his expression relaxing as he lowered his guard slightly. Judging from Azaleaâs body language, she didnât seem like she was lying. As long as he could catch the culprit, Hector would probably be safe.
âBy the way, you said that Natasha was in danger. What do you mean by that?â Dustin suddenly asked.
âDo you want to know? Lift my veil, then.â Azalea smiled meaningfully.
âWhatâs so hard about that?â He reached out and grabbed her veil, slowly pulling it upward.
âOh, I forgot to tell you that there is a rule in my family; whoever lifts up my veil will have to marry me.â
âYouâre crazy!â Startled, Dustin immediately withdrew his hand. Fortunately, he had only pulled it up halfway through, so he didnât manage to get a clear look at her face.
âScared? What a boring man you are!â Azalea teased, grinning from ear to ear.
âChildish!â Dustin snorted and turned around to leave.
âSheâs too good at playing with peopleâs minds,â Dustin thought.
âHold on,â Azalea called out to him. âMiracle doctor, why are you in such a hurry? Actually, I have spies at the Grant residence. Not long ago, I received news that someone wanted to harm Natasha. Those who followed you earlier were just the beginning of their plan. The Grant familyâs real target is Natasha.â
When Dustin heard what she said, he stopped his steps all of a sudden and looked at her. âThe Harmon residence is heavily guarded now. Itâs not easy for the Grants to barge in.â
âTrue enough, but what about luring the target away?â Azalea quirked her lips.
âWhat do you mean?â He frowned.
âWell, if Iâm someone from the Grant family, I can simply find a reason to lure Natasha to leave the house.â Azalea shot him a half-smile.
Right then, Dustin felt a wave of uneasiness.
At the moment, the Harmon family was leaderless, and on top of that, it was in a mess.
