Chapter 528 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
The brawl finally ended ten minutes later. Although dozens of Flame Dragon Gang disciples were injured in the process, they managed to completely annihilate the Grantsâ elite men.
âSir, I did not fail you. I have eliminated all these pests!â Nelson and his men rushed toward Dustin eagerly. âWell done. It must have been tiring.â Dustin nodded.
âNot at all. Itâs our honor to serve you!â Nelson responded with a grin. âClean this place up. Donât leave any evidence behind.â Dustin ordered.
âYes, Sir!â âBoys, itâs time to clean up!â Nelson hollered at his men, and they immediately got to work.
âI didnât know you were the Flame Dragon Gangâs leader.â Natashaâs surprised expression quickly turned into a frown. âStill, even with the gangâs help, we canât win against the Grants. Weâre in real trouble this time.â
âThe Grants might be powerful, but that doesnât mean they canât do whatever they please. Thereâs always someone more powerful than them,â Dustin replied nonchalantly.
âAs if itâd be that easy. In the Southern province, the only two families who have a chance of winning against the Grants are the Murray family and the Hill family.â Natasha sighed. âYou were too reckless this time, Dustin. Killing Jayla was a terrible move!â
âThey wouldnât have let me live anyway, so I might as well get rid of them first.â Dustin seemed unbothered. Since they already had their eyes on him, he might as well make it worthwhile.
âButâ¦â Natasha didnât know what to say.
âLetâs forget about this. We should focus more on your injury. Letâs go and treat it.â Dustin gathered her into his arms and walked outside. His needle might have stopped the bleeding, but medication was necessary to prevent her lacerations from scarring.
âHold it right there!â Jacob shouted. âDo you think you can just leave after getting into such a huge mess?â
âDonât worry. Iâll take responsibility for my actions,â Dustin responded before walking out.
âFollow him. Donât let him escape.â Jacob ordered two of his men.
âYes, Sir!â The two men answered in unison and went after Dustin and Natasha.
There was no way the Grants would take this matter lightly. If Dustin were to run away now, the Grants might shift their target to the Harmon family instead, so they had to make sure to keep a close eye on him.
âLord Horst, quite a few of our men died today. What a loss.â Nelsonâs men grumbled softly.
âOf course, it isnât a loss! Men are supposed to be wild like this!â Nelson thumped his chest proudly. âIâm sure todayâs battle showed Sir Rhys just how strong we are and improved our image!â
Just then, one of his men rushed over in panic. âBad news, Lord Horst! Weâre in trouble!â
âWhatâs all the fuss about? You act as though itâs something I canât handle.â Nelson huffed, judging that his men must still lack experience given how easy it was to scare them.
When will they ever grow up?
âLook at this, Sir!â The other man shakily held out a badge.
âIt looks familiar.â Nelson was puzzled.
âOf course it is! It belongs to the Grants!â His subordinate wailed.
âThe Grants? What do you mean?â Nelson was still confused.
The subordinate delivered the shocking news. âThe men we just killed were the Grantsâ elites!â
âWhat?! The Grants?â Nelson exclaimed, wide-eyed. âA-are you serious?â
âI would never joke about something like this. Just look at the badge!â His subordinate whimpered. âSir, youâll have to take care of this mess now.â
âTake care of it? Yeah, right. Iâm just dead meat now.â Nelson fell to the floor dejectedly. He would soon disappear from the face of the earth.
