Chapter 1104
When Love Comes Late
âYeah, you were really good.
Iâll go sort things out.
â
As she started to walk away, she heard Luka say thanks.
Confused, she stopped and looked back.
Luka seemed impatient again.
âWhat are you staring at? Move it and get ready for the next scene.
My time is valuable.
I donât have all day!â
Stella bit her lip, questioning what sheâd heard.
This was the usual arrogant, self-absorbed Luka.
That âthanksâ could have been her imagination.
Stellaâs gaze briefly flickered with irritation.
âOkay, Iâm on my way.
â
As she walked towards the costume and makeup room, she grumbled to herself.
Being an art director, she didnât appreciate being treated like Lukaâs personal assistant.
Luka might have been skilled, but his disregard for othersâ feelings and lack of professionalism irked her.
Unbeknownst to Stella, Ashley Payne, who had just shared the stage with Luka, watched her leave with a cold, unwelcoming stare.
Meanwhile, Matthew and Amara approached the Clark familyâs mansion.
Suddenly, Amara grabbed his hand, a look of worry in her eyes.
âMatthew, should I really go inside?â
Matthew squeezed her hand reassuringly, his gaze determined.
âDonât worry.
Iâve got this under control.
â
He then pressed the doorbell.
The servant hurried to open the door, his face lighting up at seeing Matthew.
However, his smile faltered when he noticed Amara.
âSirâ¦â
âWhat is it?â Matthew asked, a frown creasing his forehead as he noticed the servantâs hesitance.
The servant glanced at Amara, then back at Matthew, struggling to find the words.
Your grandfather has explicitly said your mother canât enter.
â
Amara felt a burning blush on her cheeks, avoiding eye contact with the servant while attempting to free her hand from Matthewâs firm grip.
Matthew, however, held on tighter.
Bowing her head, she murmured, âMatthew, maybe I should leave.
You can go in alone.
â
