Chapter 1134
When Love Comes Late
She paused, refusing to proceed, her heart heavy with anxiety.
This was new territory for Leslie, and she was anxious about what might happen when Matthew regained his senses.
Yet, this moment was something she had longed for, something sheâd dreamt about.
If she backed down now, she knew regret would haunt her.
This was her only chance.
Her eyes caught the wine bottle on the table.
In a swift motion, she grabbed it and finished off the remaining wine.
The alcohol gave her a burst of courage, fueling her determination to seize the moment she had yearned for.
The thought of Matthewâs possible anger later didnât deter her.
She was willing to face any consequence, any harsh words, just to have this one moment with him.
She didnât want much.
She just wanted to be with Matthew.
And for that, she was ready to endure anything.
âMatthew, I love you.
Ever since I first saw you, Iâve had feelings for you,â
Leslie said, gazing at Matthew with intense emotion.
âBut why do you keep pushing me away? Do you think Iâm not as good as Stella? Iâd do anything for you, even the things she canât.
â
Matthewâs brow creased deeply, his face flushed from the medication, but his troubled expression was unmistakable.
âLeslie!â Matthew roared, his patience wearing thin.
âOut of respect for your father, Iâll overlook your coming here tonight.
But if you keep this up, I wonât hold back!â
âMatthew,â Leslie said softly, her face showing a mix of pain and sadness.
âI canât stop loving you.
Iâm hopelessly in love with you, especially the way you speak so kindly.
â
She resolved to continue, slowly unbuttoning Matthewâs shirt.
âYouâll be mine after tonight.
â
Matthew tried to push her away, but the drug sapped his strength.
His attempts only fueled his growing desire.
Unseen by them, a camera hidden in the background was recording everything.

Benny stepped out of the house and made his way to a small wooden cabin at the back.
He swung the door open and there, tied to a chair with a bomb strapped to her, was Stella.
The bombâs timer was ticking down, its sound echoing loudly in the silent room.
Stella, gagged with a cloth, whimpered and glared at Benny, her eyes filled with anger.
Benny, his face void of emotion, approached her and yanked the cloth from her mouth.
Stella, now free to speak, lashed out, âBenny, what the hell do you want? If Matthew finds out youâve kidnapped me, he wonât let you off the hook!â
She recalled the series of events that led her here.
After finish her work, she went to Mateoâs house.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, someone covered her nose and mouth from behind, and then darkness enveloped her.
When she woke up, she found herself in this dire situation.
