Chapter 1302
When Love Comes Late
Elizabethâs eyes snapped open, flashing with malice.
Galen snapped, âIâve warned you not to mess around.
Why did you still mess with Stella? You gave her that role!â
Elizabeth clenched her jaw, hatred simmering beneath the surface.
âThis is Seamarsh, not Dorburn.
Your fan base here is thin.
You need this movie to break into the market.
One misstep, one scandal, and itâs all over,â Galen reminded her, hoping to jolt her back to reality.
â
Elizabeth scowled.
âI know.
â But deep down, she only yearned for Stellaâs downfall.
Before Galen could add another word, the doorbell rang.
He furrowed his brow.
âWho could be visiting at this hour?â
Elizabeth sat up and asked the servant to answer the door.
Leoâs tall figure filled the doorway as he followed the servant into the Living room.
He froze, momentarily stunned by Elizabethâs uncanny resemblance to Stella.
âWhoâs this?â Galen cast a wary glance at the stranger, seeking an explanation from Elizabeth.
Elizabeth, however, had no intention of involving him or disclosing her plans.
She knew Galen would disapprove of her methods.
Her voice turned icy.
âThis is a personal matter.
Please leave.
I donât have any work today.
â
Galen pursed his lips, wanting to argue, but Elizabeth cut him off.
âGalen, I know what Iâm doing.
Stick to your work,â Elizabeth warned, a thinly veiled threat to stay in his lane.
Though annoyed, Galen realized his concerns were falling on deaf ears.
There was no point in pushing further.

With a silent sigh, he left them alone.
As soon as he was gone, Elizabeth gestured for Leo to sit.
A calculated smile curved her lips.
âLet me reintroduce myself, Leo.
Iâm Elizabeth Wallace.
â
Wallace?
Leo was confused.
âWhatâs your connection to Stella?â
He had thought that this woman must have something to do with Stella since the two women looked so much alike.
Elizabethâs smile slightly faltered.
âWeâre enemies,â she replied, her voice flat.
Leo, taken aback, composed himself and asked, âAnd what can I do for you?â
