Chapter 133
When Love Comes Late
When she regained herself, she stood still and stared in the direction the car had gone.
Her face darkened and she crackled with wicked energy at this moment.
In the years she had known Matthew, heâd never told her off the way he just did.
It was as if he cast her to the side of the road like some piece of trash.
How did it come to this?
This question plagued Vivienâs mind until she arrived at a conclusion: it was all Stellaâs fault.
Matthew was supposed to be hers.
And since she couldnât get him, she would make sure no one else would.
Vivien clenched her fists, her nails digging into her flesh.
Hatred ignited a flame inside her.
In Matthewâs car, Fernando was behind the wheel as Matthew and Stella sat in the back.
There was a nerving tension in the air.
Stella stole a glance at Matthew and smiled awkwardly.
âIt seems Luck is on my side today.
I failed to get a taxi, but then, you showed up.
Thanks for the ride, Mr.
Clark.
â
Matthew looked up at her for a few seconds and said, âDonât mention it.
The meeting ended earlier than expected.
I stopped by to check the progress of the shoot.
Thatâs why I bumped into you.

He then picked up a document and flipped through it with a straight face.
Stella nodded with understanding and said nothing.
It was all because of Matthew that Vivien was always picking on her.
He must be helping her out of guilt, not because he actually cared.

After thinking it over, Stella felt much more relaxed.
Fernando remained silent behind the wheel.
He peeked at his boss through the rearview mirror, seeing through him at a glance.
Todayâs meeting was supposed to end in the evening.
But at noon, Matthew refused to let them go on break.
Instead, he quickened the process of the meeting and it ended a few hours earlier.
Fernando had thought there was an emergency.
Judging from the current situation, he realized that his boss went through all that hassle just to rush down to the set to see Stella.
Fernando knew better than to say anything about his findings.
He just kept his eyes on the road.
No one in the car spoke as the ride went on.
Stella had a long day, so she was exhausted now.
She turned her face towards the window and watched the scenery flashing past.
