Chapter 1472
When Love Comes Late
Matthew shook his head.
âIâll inform Fernando and ask him to send a helicopter.
â
Miley and Neville also had serious expressions on their faces.
Everyone was so worried that no one dared to say a word.
When Matthew called Fernando, it was immediately connected.
But before he could say anything, a static noise was suddenly heard, and the call was disconnected.
He looked at his phone with a frown and murmured, âNo signal.
â
Stella, Miley, and Neville also took out their phones to check.
Indeed, there was no signal.
Before they could discuss a solution to this predicament, the lights in the hall flickered.
Then, several of them suddenly went out.
The entire living room became pitch-black at once.
Stella clenched her fists tightly.
âWhat is going on?â
âMaybe the signal and electricity were disrupted by the snowstorm,â
Matthew said calmly.
Stella became even more worried.
âWhat should we do now?â
As she spoke, she fumbled her coat from the sofa and put it on.
âI canât stay here any longer.
I have to go out and look for Flossie.
â
She turned around and was about to leave.
But as soon as she took a step forward, Matthew grabbed her wrist.
He said with a frown, âIf you go out now, you will only put yourself in danger instead of saving her.
â
Stellaâs eyes turned red.
She was very flustered already.
âThen, what should we do? Flossie is outside, and we donât know what is happening to her.
I canât just stand idly by and wait for her.
I asked her to come here.
If anything happens to her, I will never forgive myself for the rest of my life.
â
Stellaâs tone was full of self-blame, and Matthew understood her worries.
He offered, âYou and Miley stay here.
Neville and I will go out to look for her.
â
After Flossie hung up the phone, Bennyâs expression grew somber.

He simmered with a tinge of frustration, feeling that she had trivialized his concern for her into a joke.
Just as he was about to disregard Flossie, his attention was drawn to a weather advisory announcing an imminent snowstorm around Seamarsh.
Instantly, Bennyâs irritation dissipated, replaced by a furrowed brow of concern.
Scanning the notice meticulously, he couldnât suppress a string of expletives.
Hastily donning his coat, he was ready to go and search for Flossie.
Before stepping out, he paused, slipping on a mask to conceal his identity in case he crossed paths with Matthew.
This wasnât the moment to reveal his identity.
Concealing his features, Benny stepped out into the cold.
