Chapter 1891
When Love Comes Late
Lindsay touched her stomach and gave an awkward smile.
âI guess I am a bit hungry, but isnât it too late? Wouldnât it be a bother to Erin?â
Stella got up and said, âNot at all.
Iâll make a bowl of noodles for you myself.
â
âThen Iâll look forward to a good meal,â Lindsay said cheerfully, linking arms with Stella.
When they headed downstairs, Matthew was already gone.
Stella went into the kitchen and quickly prepared a bowl of noodles.
After Lindsay had eaten, they both returned to their rooms.

In the master bedroom, Matthew, having taken a shower, Leaned against the headboard to handle some business.
Seeing Stella sit down at the dressing table, he got up, embraced her, and ki*sed her cheek.
âWhatâs going on with Lindsay?â he asked.
Stella shook her head and said, âItâs nothing serious.
Sheâs just gotten back from abroad and got hurt.
Sheâs feeling quite sensitive.
â
Matthew remained silent.
He extended his hands and gently massaged Stellaâs temples.
âYouâve been busy all day.
Feeling tired?â
Stella closed her eyes, feeling relaxed, and enjoyed a moment of peace.
âJust a bit.
â
Suddenly, Matthew asked, âHow about I help you with a shower?â
Stella quickly opened her eyes when she heard this, thinking she must have misheard.
Seeing Matthewâs earnest expression, she felt her cheeks warm.
Under Matthewâs steady gaze, Stellaâs face grew increasingly red.
She pushed him away, half-shy, half-annoyed.
âWhat are you saying? Iâm grown up.
I can manage on my own!â
Matthew playfully tugged at her reddened earlobe and chuckled.
âYouâre my wife.
Why are you still shy?â
Stella, speechless, just glared at him.
Matthew chuckled.
âRelax, Iâm just teasing.
You said youâre tired, right? Let me help you shower so you can rest more.
â
He lifted her in his arms and headed for the bathroom.
âAh!â Stella was surprised.
She widened her eyes and said, âPut me down! Iâm not tired.
I can do it myself!â
Matthew responded casually, âDonât be shy.
Itâs perfectly normal for a husband to help his wife bathe.
â
This was the first time Stella had heard such an explanation.
She said with annoyance, âYou just made that up, didnât you?â
Matthew just smiled.
âDoes it really matter?â
As he didnât give her a chance to object further, Stella blushed deeply but allowed him to carry her in silence.
Just as they were about to enter the bathroom, there was a knock at the bedroom door.
From outside, Lindsayâs careful voice called out, âStella, are you asleep?â
