Chapter 1925
When Love Comes Late
He recounted numerous amusing anecdotes about Stella, each bringing a burst of laughter from Bella.
Stella lacked vivid memories of many incidents Clint mentioned.
She laughed along when he recounted them, though some stories were so mortifying that she couldnât lift her head.
Seeing Bellaâs joyous laughter, Stella refrained from objecting.
Yet, when Matthew also chuckled, she couldnât resist pinching him discreetly while giving him a stern look.
Matthew hastily covered his mouth, struggling to suppress his amusement.
At the dinner table, the atmosphere was lively, except for Kristian, who appeared uneasy and smiled awkwardly.

As the meal neared its end, Bella addressed Clint, saying, âI actually invited you here today because I have something significant to announce, and I wanted you to be here to witness it.
â
Clint instinctively turned toward Stella at Bellaâs words.
Stella looked perplexed, unaware of what was coming.
Kristian frowned, sensing something unsettling was about to be disclosed.
His instincts warned him it involved Stella and it might not be something he would welcome.
Bella then declared unequivocally, âIâve decided itâs time.
Iâm not getting any younger, and I plan to gradually transition the management of the studio to Stella.
Sheâll take full control.
Iâll teach her everything Iâve learned throughout my life.
â
She spoke with resolve.
Kristian listened, his fists clenched tightly, veins pronounced against his skin.
But Bella wasnât finished.
After discussing the studio, she continued, âI wasnât there for Stella during her childhood, and Iâve been feeling guilty.
Going forward, I intend to make amends.
Iâll be transferring all my assets to her.
â
The revelation stunned both Stella and Clint, while Matthew remained composed.
Everything unfolded so suddenly that it took Stella some time to process what had happened.
She had assumed Bella merely wanted to take her on as an apprentice; she hadnât anticipated being offered the entire studio and property.
With her thoughts in disarray, Stella finally broke her silence, her voice tentative.
âIs it too early to make such a decision? Besides, I already have my own studio.
â
Bella turned to Clint for his input.
âWhat do you think?â
Clint, cautious not to overstep, responded, âItâs Stellaâs decision to make.
Iâll support whatever you both decide.
â
Clint was pleased to see Bellaâs high regard for Stella, and it brought him some relief.
Meanwhile, Kristian struggled to contain his emotions, taking some time to calm his nerves.
Once somewhat composed, he frowned and posed his question to Bella.
âWhy wasnât I consulted about such a critical decision?â
He was completely taken by surprise by the announcement and felt sidelined without a chance to intervene.
Bella, puzzled by his reaction, responded, âWho else would I entrust my belongings to if not my own daughter?â
