Chapter 1932
When Love Comes Late
âYouâre welcome,â Alissa replied warmly.
They returned to the living room and engaged in light conversation.
As lunchtime approached, Stella received a message from Bella.
It read, âI made some food.
Iâll bring it to you later.
Are you at home or in the studio?â
Concerned about Bella exerting herself, Stella was about to decline when an idea struck her.
Turning to Alissa, she asked, âAlissa, do you have any plans for Lunch?â
âAlready lunchtime?â Alissa looked surprised.
âIf you donât mind, why donât you stay here for lunch? I can whip up a few simple dishes.
â
Stella hurriedly explained, âMy mother just messaged me.
She has prepared lunch.
If you donât have other plans, Iâd love to take you to join us.
â
Stella believed Alissa and Bella, being around the same age and in the same industry, would have plenty to talk about.
âI donât think itâs properâ¦â Alissa hesitated, her voice trailing off.
âYouâve already spent so much time with me today.
Youâve finally reunited with your mother.
I shouldnât intrude.
â
Stella shook her head firmly.
âPlease donât say that.
Youâve been so kind to me today.
I had planned to invite you to Lunch, but since my mother has already prepared it, I would love for you to join us.
â
Alissa still seemed uncertain.
âYour mother and I have never met before.
I donât want to impose.
â
âNo, itâs not a bother at all,â Stella reassured her with a warm smile.
âIâve already spoken to her about it, and sheâs excited to meet you and insisted that you join us.
â
Unable to refuse anymore, Alissa smiled and agreed, âAlright then.
â
As they headed out, Alissa asked Stella, âIs there anything your mother particularly likes? I canât go empty-handed.
Iâd like to bring a gift.
â
âs BunnyBookery
Stella paused, realizing she didnât know much about her motherâs personal preferences.
Since she knew
Bella, they had mostly talked about work; they rarely discussed such things.
âIâm sorry, Iâm not sure,â Stella admitted awkwardly.
âTo be honest, I donât know what she likes.
â
Noticing Stellaâs embarrassment, Alissa smiled warmly and reassured her, âItâs alright.
You two have just reunited.
Youâll learn more about each other in time.
Iâm sure your mother wonât mind.
â
Spotting a flower shop by the roadside, Alissa suggested, âLetâs pull over here.
Iâll grab a bunch of flowers.
â
Stella halted the car, and Alissa quickly purchased a bunch of Lilies before returning to the car.
They arrived at Bellaâs home, where Bella greeted them warmly.
Noticing Kristian wasnât present, Stella felt relieved.
Bella smiled warmly at Alissa and said, âSo youâre Professor Perez? You have such grace.
Thank you for helping Stella last time.
â
Upon seeing Bella, Alissa felt an immediate sense of familiarity, as if they were old friends.
