Chapter 2058
When Love Comes Late
Matthew said, âBella might have forgotten those things in the past.
But she has not forgotten the feeling of getting along with Alissa.
So, whether she has those memories or not, they will still be good friends.
â
Stella nodded.
Then, something occurred to her.
She suddenly asked, âWhat if I forget you one day? What will you do?â
Matthew smiled.
âIâll stay by your side and take you on a trip down memory lane.
Weâll have all the meals weâve enjoyed together, and do everything weâve done before.
In this way, you will fall for me again.
â
As he spoke, his voice was full of determination.
His gaze was fixed on her face.
Stella met his eyes, feeling warm in her heart.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and said sincerely, âYou are such a great person.
Thereâs no way I can ever forget you.
Iâll hold onto those memories, and you are not allowed to forget me, either.
â
The next morning, Stella and Alissa joined Bella for her treatment.
As they settled into the car, Bella clasped Stellaâs hand, concern etching her features.
âYouâre pregnant.
You should be resting, not running around for my treatment.
Alissa can accompany me.
â
Despite Bellaâs concerns, Stella was resolute.
âIâve been feeling quite well lately, no morning sickness, and a bit of activity is actually beneficial for me and the baby.
Besides, after everything thatâs happened, I just want to be close to you,â she explained, her voice laced with emotion from the recent scare of nearly losing her mother.
Unable to sway Stella, Bella reluctantly accepted her company.
Upon arriving at the hospital, they headed directly to the examination room.
Thanks to Matthewâs arrangements, Bella was quickly ushered in for her checkup.
Seated in the doctorâs office, Bellaâs mind wandered to the unsettling events of the past days, particularly Kristianâs cryptic remarks just before the accident.
With a heavy heart, she looked at Earle, her doctor, and voiced her deep-seated concern.
âIâve been in treatment for a while now⦠Do you think itâs possible for me to recover my lost memories under these circumstances?â
Her tone was earnest, reflecting her growing desperation to reclaim the fragments of her past.
Earle was taken aback by Bellaâs direct inquiry about her recovery; it was the first time she had initiated such a conversation during therapy.
After a brief pause, he responded with measured calm, âI canât promise a complete recovery, but the treatment should certainly aid in regaining your memory.
The key is maintaining a positive mindset throughout the process.
â
Bellaâs brow furrowed, a mix of anxiety and impatience visible.
She pressed for more specific details.
âHow long until I might see some results?â
Earle shook his head gently, tempering expectations.
âIt varies widely among individuals.
Some of my patients have noticed improvements after just a few sessions, while others only see changes much later.
The critical factor is your engagement with the treatment-it will undoubtedly yield results if you remain committed.
â
Bella nodded, her demeanor reflecting a newfound commitment to her treatment.
Noticing this shift, Earle probed further before proceeding, âIs there someone or something specific that youâre hoping to remember?â
After a momentâs hesitation, Bella affirmed with a nod.
âThatâs good to hear,â Earle said thoughtfully.
âBeing open to the treatment without any internal resistance can significantly enhance its effectiveness, potentially speeding up your recovery.
â
âReally?â Bella asked, a flicker of hope igniting in her eyes as she considered the possibility of reconnecting with her forgotten past.
