Chapter 2105
When Love Comes Late
Byron and Kyra stood in utter shock, unable to speak.
They had not foreseen the sweeping changes that followed the car accident.
Bennett was aware that Bella and Stella had been apart for ages, braving countless trials to reunite.
With so much time gone by, the truth was hard to lay out all at once.
Suddenly, a memory sparked in Stellaâs mind.
She faced the trio before her and inquired, âHow did you come to know about my ties to the Lowell family?â

Bennett offered an apologetic look.
âIâm sorry.
I took some strands of your hair and had my team run a paternity test.
â
Stella remembered snagging her hair on Bennettâs brooch just outside the restaurant the previous day.
She understood Bennettâs urgency in locating his kin, having taken similar steps herself to identify her mother.
She bore no ill will toward Bennett.
Yet, she harbored some reservations.
Breaking the silence, Stella declared, âI would like to take the paternity test again.
â
She was Matthewâs wife, and prudence was necessary in certain matters.
Stella went on, âMr.
Lowell has always believed Iâm the person he has been searching for.
I worry he might be too hasty and slip up.
â
She spoke in vague terms, using soft language, yet it was clear to everyone that she feared Bennett was fabricating stories to validate his doubts.
Byron understood her wariness.
Given that they were dealing with a âfamilyâ they hadnât seen in nearly two decades, anyone would naturally hold some doubts.
Byron nodded in agreement.
âBeing cautious is wise.
If you have concerns, we should double-check.
â
Kyra chimed in, âWeâll honor your concerns and have Matthew redo the paternity test.
You seem to trust him more.
â
A brief silence enveloped the room, leaving Bennett feeling slightly uncomfortable.
He then addressed the older couple.
âGrandpa, Grandma, Iâll drive you home first.
We did drop by quite unexpectedly.
Letâs give them some space to think things over.
â
The elderly couple glanced at Bella, who appeared unwell.
Then, noticing that Stella had just awakened and seemed to need rest, they nodded in understanding.
Kyra turned to Stella, her tone warm and caring.
âIâll head back and prepare some soup for you.
Iâll bring it over later.
â
Stella could feel Kyraâs worry, but these people were practically strangers to her.
She knew Bennett slightly better, yet their bond was far from close.
At that moment, accepting their sudden concern felt awkward.
After a momentâs hesitation, Stella declined politely.
âPlease donât go out of your way.
My husband will handle these matters.
You should take it easy, given your age.
â
