Chapter 237
When Love Comes Late
âMr.
Clark?â she uttered, confused and unsure at the same time.
Matthew turned around to the sound of the voice.
Stella was a bit shocked.
âMr.
Clark, I never expected to see you here.
â
She thought he only used his car to go out, so she never expected to find him at a station.
Matthew looked a little uneasy.
He cleared his throat and explained, âI came here for a company project.
â
Stella nodded.
She scanned the area and asked, âWhat about Fernando?
Shouldnât he be with you? Why are you alone?â
Matthew looked away and lied.
âFernando had to head back.
He had something urgent to deal with.
Stella asked, âAre you returning to Seamarsh now?â
âYes.
But itâs rather difficult.
I have no idea how to buy the ticket.
Itâs kind of my first time here,â Matthew replied.

Stella noticed the small trace of helplessness on his face.
The corners of her lips lifted up into a smile.
She had not expected the dignified CEO of Prosperity Group to not know how to do something as simple as buying a ticket.
She was quite amused.
Stella hid her smile, pretending to be serious.
âWould you like to go with me? Iâm also heading back to Seamarsh.
Iâll help you buy the ticket.
âSure,â Matthew responded.
Stella began to walk, and Matthew trailed behind her.
A complicated emotion swirled in his chest.
The only reason he came to the station was because he wanted to âaccidentallyâ run into her.
He had come here with the intention of telling her the truth.
He was excited to tell her that he was Maverick, her husband.
However, as she stood in front of him, he couldnât bring himself to do it.
Just because he helped to deal with Aziel, didnât mean she was going to forgive him.
