Chapter 156
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
Rowanâs eyes lit up as he saw his great-grandsonâs messy writing.â Yes. He has worked hard to make this. I have to make it happen.â
Smiling, Rowan studied each page. Occasionally, he laughed at spelling errors or images next to the writing. When he arrived at the list addressed to him, his eyes sharpened.
âVisit the chocolate factory, go to the toy store, have a picnic in the park, tour the Savior, take Louis and Emily to school.â
Rowanâs warm laughter returned to the air.
âLook how excited they are to spend time with me. Iâm so excited too, Sean. Iâm going to make it all happen then they can expand the list. My life is so much more colorful with them!â
With that enthusiasm, Rowan began to organize his new life. He could already imagine how happy it would be to enjoy the rest of his life with the sound of his great-grandchildrenâs laughter.

Louis smiled brightly when he found the chair designed especially for him. He liked it so much. It was perfect for the table at the cafeteria in the Savior office. âWow, I think this cafeteria is much cooler than the one in the library.â
âYes, the menu is also more varied. I think the food here will be better. Am I right, Uncle?â Emily blinked at Jeremy.
Jeremyâs heart warmed when he heard the call. The tension from the eyes of the people around him was now subdued. âI think you should try it yourself, Young Lady.â
âYeah, I really canât wait to try it. Look! Our food is here!â Emilyâs

Louis immediately turned around. A trolley came. There were lots of plates on it.
âAre these all your orders?â
Louis gasped as Kara suddenly sat next to him. Seeing his mother, he smiled awkwardly. âMommy? I think you have a meeting with Daddy.â
âThis is your first time eating here. Of course Mommy canât miss it. Daddy will come. So,â she looked at the dishes on the table, âwho ordered this much?â
Jeremy pursed his lips, while Emily chuckled. The frown on Louisâ face never failed to amuse her. âI only order salad, while Uncle wants a chicken steak. Louis has the rest.â She was ready to see her brother
scolded.
âLouis, didnât we agree not to waste food? You should order what
need.â

The boyâs back straightened. His eyes widened. âSorry, Mommy. Iâve tried to sort it out. But, everything looks delicious. I was also
surprised to see this much food coming.â
Kara looked at Louis more intensely. There was no sound, but the shrank. It made Emily laugh. âSee? I reminded you, but you didnât
Louis pursed his lips, warning his sister. A second later, he put on pitiful look in front of his mother.
âBut, Mommy, I promise no food will be wasted. Iâve worked hard earlier. My brain and stomach need nourishment. I can finish all this.â
âYou canât make it a reason, Louis,â Emily said with a faint smile. âI worked hard too, but I only ordered one menu.â

Louis knitted his eyebrows again. âReally? What did you do this morning?â
âI could have just started designing straight away. But I thought the results would be optimal if I learned the basic theory first. So, I studied everything about making clothes. My brain feels full.â Emily held her head with her two cute little hands.
Before the toddlersâ argument heated up, Kara intervened. âOkay, since you two have worked hard, you can eat as much as you like. But, set aside two plates for Daddy and Mommy.â
Instead of feeling relieved, Louis puffed out his cheeks. âBut Mommy, can I try one spoonful of Mommy and Daddyâs food? Iâm curious.â
âYou can still taste it tomorrow, Louis. If you buy it all today, youâll get bored.â Emilyâs tone was wise.
âNo, Emily. I have to taste it first so that I know whatâs to order later.
While Kara sighed, Jeremy smiled. The atmosphere felt new and it
tickled his heart.
Unbeknownst to him, someone behind the glass door also felt the same way. His eyes were teary and his laughter was faint.
âDonât they look great? The future leader of the Saviors.â Rowan nodded in satisfaction. The driver standing next to him nodded,
knowing how to respond.
âLook at those tiny clothesâ¦. They fit so well. My great-grandchildre
are destined to become top businessmen.
While putting his hands behind his waist, Rowan kept watching. His chest was tight with a strange feeling. Something seemed stuck in his throat. âI have to make peace with them soon,â he muttered,
inaudibly.

âWhat do you need to do here, Grandpa?â
Hearing that voice, the emotion instantly disappeared. Straightening his shoulders, Rowan turned around. âWhy? Am I not allowed to visit my own grandsonâs company?â
âJust curious. Itâs unusual for you to come without Sean and bodyguards.â Frank raised an eyebrow.
Rowan pressed his lips with his chin. He did not want to look softened. âI heard those little creatures were appointed as
employees. They even have their own ID cards. I want to make sure that Savior is still safe. Theyâre not causing a commotion, right?â
Frank narrowed his eyes. He knew very well that statement did not come from the heart. âDo you come to apologize?â
Rowanâs eyebrows rose. However, a second later, he snorted out at laugh. âApologize? For what? Only losers apologize. Iâm not. Iâve never regretted what Iâve done.â
âI donât think so,â Frank said quietly. âOnly brave people dare to apologize. They dare to admit they were wrong, dare to ask for al second chance, and dare to challenge themselves not to repeat the mistake.â
Rowan pondered for a moment. His heart trembled violently, but h control over the expression was much stronger. He was too embarrassed to confess now, with several employees around.
âYou call me a coward?â he said, raising his eyebrows.
Frank shook his head weakly. âI donât want to argue, Grandpa. Weâd better have lunch peacefully. Do you want to join us?â
Rowanâs eyes almost widened. He wondered, had Frank been behind him for a long time? Was his murmur heard by him earlier?

Seeing Rowanâs shoulders rose and fell, Frank smiled slightly. âIf your donât want to join us now, itâs okay. You can do it tonight. Letâs have dinner at my mansion. Invite Sean.â
Frank glanced at the man beside his grandfather. âYour driver too.â
Peter blinked in disbelief. His mouth opened, wanting to thank you. However, seeing his boss frozen, he didnât dare.
âPeter, letâs go!â Rowan exclaimed in a trembling voice. He did intend to bend his knees in front of Frank, Jeremy, the twinsâ¦, but not now.
Frank sighed faintly. His head nodded. âItâs okay if you still hesitate. Tonight, tomorrow night, the night after tomorrow, and so on, my offer will always apply. We look forward to your presence.â
Frank patted Rowanâs arm before walking into the cafeteria. His smile secretly widened, After all this time, he finally saw changes in his grandfather.
âPeter.â Rowan swallowed hard. He didnât turn his head at all, afraid that his tears would be seen. âLetâs go shopping.â
The driver stared wide eyed. âShopping? Where, Sir?â
âLetâs start from a toddler clothing store.â
