“See you later, Auntie!” The twins waved. The further Barbara went, the faster they moved. When Barbara was out of sight, they could

only look up at Philip.

“Now, just the three of us?” Louis tilted his head. His hands drooped beside his body.

“Yes,” Philip said briefly.

Louis’ head was now completely bowed. “This picnic is getting no fun.

“Yeah, I didn’t think I would miss Auntie like this.” Emily cupped her cheeks, as if her burden was piled there. “What should we do now Philip?”

The man sighed. “Do you guys still want to go to the mall?”

Louis and Emily shook their heads together.

“Then let’s go home.” Philip forced a smile.

“Okay, let’s pack up the cameras and other equipment,” Emily nodded.

“Oh, this is really no fun.” Wearily, Louis began to gather shovels and buckets. “We haven’t even had time to take a photo with the sand castle.”

Seeing the twins’ sadness, Philip took a deep breath. In fact, he also. felt empty. He was so excited to welcome this moment. Who would have thought, their plan would end up going awry.
