“Your aunt is awake,” Philip said.

“Really?”

As Louis and Emily stood on tiptoes, Frank and Kara approached from the other side of the bed.

“Thank you,” Barbara said softly.

However, Philip still did not answer. He returned the bottle and then sat like a stone. Barbara had to wipe her mouth with the back of her

hand since Philip didn’t do it for her.

“Philip,” she called again, a few moments later.
