Chapter 317
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
S31 60. Preparing a Party
âYes,â Jeremy stretched out one arm, waiting for Vivianâs back to come within his reach. âLet me introduce her, Grandma. This is my mother, Vivian Bell.â
âHello, Mrs. Johnson. Nice to meet you.â Vivian gave a warm smile
then offered her hand.
Without warning, Diana let go of Louisâs grip and then cupped Vivianâs hand. âYou are Normanâs ex-girlfriend?â
Vivianâs eyes widened. With a high arch of eyebrows, she glanced at Jeremy and the others briefly. Everyone looked awkward.
âHmm, yes. Before he was betrothed to Barbaraâs mother,â Vivian answered stiffly, but still gracefully.
Diana let out a long sigh. âIâm sorry you had to go through difficult times because of my son. I hope you donât hold a grudge against him. I was the one who was wrong. He grew up without the presence of mother. I didnât have time to teach him how to respect women or t meaning of love and responsibility.â
The curve of Vivianâs lips shrunk. She could see deep worry from those wrinkled eyes.
âItâs okay, Madam. Itâs all long gone. I donât think about it anymore.â
While knitting her eyebrows, Diana stroked Vivianâs hair and face. Vivian felt strange being treated like a little girl at that age. However, she understood. Diana was studying the face that had been Normanâs choice.
âDo you still remember him often?â
Vivianâs eyebrows arched higher. âNorman?â

After a blink, she tried to break the ice with a smile. âYeah, sometimes. Every time I see Jeremy I think of him.â
âDoes Jeremy look more like Norman?â
Vivianâs eyes twitched as she studied the Harper brothers. âIn terms of face, appearance, and gait, Jeremy is more similar. But when it comes to character and habits, I think Frank is closer.â
Diana let out a laugh. Her eyes suddenly lit up. âIs that so? How about his voice?â She pulled Vivian towards the sofa. Philip, Barbara, and Abigail spontaneously stepped aside, feeling that it would be impolite to listen closely to their conversation.
âJeremyâs voice is more similar. But when it comes to accent, Frank
inherited it.â
Dianaâs laughter returned to the air. This time, lighter, carefree. âWhat are his habits? Do you remember? I heard you used to be his
secretary.â
While the two women were busy talking, Frank and the others exchanged smiles.
âI think Grandma is much better now,â Kara whispered, drawing n from the people around her.
âYes, I was worried that Grandma couldnât handle her feelings,â Fran muttered before glancing at his brother. âLuckily your mother is here
Jeremy shrugged briefly. âBut my mother canât stay long. She has to go back to hiding before your mother comes out.â
Barbara stared wide eyed. âDo you plan on letting my mother wander around?â
Philip elbowed Barbara. âWhy do you sound like you want to lock your mother up?â

âBecause itâs a party. I want us all to have fun. If Mom leaves the room, she could cause trouble.â
âHer condition is stable, Barbara. You donât need to worry,â Kara
intervened.
âYes. I even plan to bring her and Auntie together.â Frank nodded confidently.
âAre you kidding?â Jeremy furrowed an eyebrow.
Frank shook his head without thinking. âIâm serious. Poor her if she has to keep hiding. Itâs time we train my mother to face reality. Ava is still here, right?â
âYeah,â Jeremy scratched his ear, itching at the name. âI think itâs worth a try.â
Suddenly, Louis frowned and also scratched his ear. âAdult things are. really confusing. Emily, why donât we prepare the party?â
Emily nodded. âYeah! Letâs prepare the party before Doctor Wela and Rony arrive.â
Holding hands, the twins looked up.
âMommy, Daddy, can we go to the back gazebo now?â Emilyâs vol
was as sweet as cotton candy.
âWeâre still kids. We shouldnât interfere in adult matters,â Louis added blinking innocently.
Barbara quickly took Philip and raised his hand. âWeâll help the twins out there.â
Frankâs eyebrows knitted together at Barbara. âYou donât want to help. your mother reconcile with Auntie?â
âSheâs also your mother, and youâre the eldest child. So, I entrust it to

After patting Frankâs arm, Barbara dragged Philip and pushed the twins. âCome on, Louis, Emily. Letâs prepare a party. Abigail, come
with us.â
Frank was stunned to see his sister. âShe soon will get married but still doesnât have a sense of responsibility?â
Kara laughed amusedly at her husbandâs expression. âCome on, Frank. Jeremy and I can help you.â
Frankâs lips pursed. However, before he could speak, Ava came with hasty steps. As usual, her expression was flat, hard to guess.
âSir, Madam,â she greeted Frank and Kara as if Jeremy didnât exist.
âWhatâs wrong, Ava?â Kara raised her eyebrows.
Ava blinked tensely. âMrs. Harris has finished showering. Sheâs doing her make-up. In a moment, sheâll be out. Can you tell Mrs. Bell to go
back to the room? I donât think itâs appropriate for me to do it.â
Seeing Avaâs seriousness, Frank smiled amusedly. He felt like he facing a female version of Jeremy.
âItâs okay, Ava. Just let my mother meet Vivian Bell.â
Avaâs expression changed faintly. âWhat do you mean?â
âWe just decided not to hide Mrs. Bell anymore. My mother needs t be trained to face reality. Thatâs no problem, right?â
Avaâs eyebrows arched, her mouth opened slightly. âOh, if thatâs the plan, thatâs fine. Iâm actually relieved because I donât have to act like a
spy anymore.â
The nod of her head was also exactly like Jeremyâs. That made Frank bit his lip, stifling a laugh.

âAva!â Melanieâs voice suddenly came from the next room. After a few moments, she appeared holding a bun of hair at the top of her head.
âAva, Iâm trying a new style, but Iâm having trouble. Help me!â
With her head bowed, Melanie couldnât see anyone who was looking at her. It was only when she arrived in front of Ava and saw lots of feet that she looked up.
âFrank? Kara? Youâre here!â Her tone was cheerful. When her hand came down, her hair immediately fell down. Her appearance actually looked more natural.
âHi, Mom. We just arrived. How are you?â Frank hugged Melanie then pressed his cheek to her cheek.
âGood.â Melanie turned to Kara. âHow are you, guys?â
Kara hugged her and nodded. âGoodâ
âI thought youâd come at dinner,â Melanie said as she returned the distance.
Kara shook her head slightly. âThe twins want to prepare the p

âThose toddlers⦠they have to learn to rely on other people. Wh are they?â
Melanie turned her head, checking another direction. However, instead of finding her grandchildren, she was fixated on two women who were stunned looking at her.
âVivian?â Melanieâs face immediately fell.
Vivian spontaneously got up from the sofa. âHi, Melanie. I just got back from out of town. So, youâre staying here?â she greeted stiffly. The glance in her eyes seemed to ask Jeremy why he didnât give a signal that Melanie had come out of her nest.
