Chapter 351
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
S31 94. Uncle Jeremy Likes Ava
âWhat you heard was like singing, right?â
Mrs. Connor nodded faintly. Smiling, Ava glanced at Jeremy.
âOn New Yearâs Eve, they sang a song to entertain my mother.â Ava shifted her gaze back to her mother. âAt that moment, your finger started moving. I didnât think you really heard it. Do you want to meet them?â
Mrs. Connor closed her eyes for a longer time when she blinked.â They led me. I ⦠followed their voices.â
Ava widened her smile. âThey are truly extraordinary children.â
âI can tell them that your mother wakes up. They will definitely come here straight away.â Jeremy spoke casually.
Ava smiled, appreciating his attempt at their friendship. âNot now. Theyâve been through a lot today. Let them go home and rest.â
Jeremy raised an eyebrow. He just found out that Ava was that
understanding. âThen Iâll ask Frank to tell them the good news before they go to bed.â
Ava nodded. âThat must be fine. For now, just let them gather with
their families.â
***
âDaddy, do you think Uncle Jeremy likes Ava?â Emily asked as her father pulled her blanket.
Frank widened his eyes. âWhy do you ask that, Princess?â
âBecause Louis and I hope Ava will be our Auntie. Sheâs a good person, Daddy, perfect for Uncle Jeremy.â
Louis nodded in agreement beside Emily. âIf Ava becomes our Auntie, we wonât have to worry about Uncle Jeremy anymore. He wonât be lonely and his life will be happier.â
âLittle Angels,â Kara rubbed Louisâs forehead and then Emilyâs,â Mommy actually also likes Ava. I think she is suitable for your uncle. But once again, you have to remember. The decision belongs toâ¦.â
âUncle Jeremy,â the twins answered simultaneously.
âThatâs right.â Kara patted Louisâ chest. âNow, donât think about it anymore. You must be tired. You should get some sleep.â
Î
âWhat story do you want to hear tonight?â Frank moved towards bookshelf in the corner of Emilyâs room.
âDaddy, you donât need a book tonight. Just tell us about your adventure in saving us earlier. Iâm sure the story will be fun.â
Frank smiled crookedly at Louisâ suggestion. Sitting back on the edge. of the bed, he took a deep breath. Right at that moment, Emily raised her hand, interrupting him.
âBefore Daddy starts, can I ask for one thing?â
Frank and Kara raised an eyebrow. âWhat is it, Little Bee?â
âPlease donât move Louis to his room. I donât want to sleep alone tonight. Iâm afraid of having nightmares. Is that okay, Mommy, Daddy?
Kara smiled wryly. âAre you still afraid?â
Emily pinched the air with her index finger and thumb. âA little bit. Iâm. afraid that Mr. and Mrs. Moore will come into my dreams. I donât want them destroying our castle with guns or whatever they smuggled in.â
âEmily,â Louis widened his eyes, âhave you forgotten? Mr. Moore is
2/5
already in prison. Thereâs no way he could escape and enter your dreams.â
Emily pursed her lips. âBut thereâs still Mrs. Moore. She could be the witch in my dreams. Her stiff hair is perfect. Plus her fierce eyes and scary voice.â
âStill, you donât need to worry, Emily. She is weak. She canât do anything. I will beat her with my sword if she disturbs our castle.â
âBut what if she has a gun?â
âI can deflect the bullets with the sword. Then, they would bounce back at her, and she would fall off her broomstick.â
Kara smiled sadly hearing that. She glanced at Frank. Her husband understood the meaning of her gaze

âKids,â Frank raised his eyebrows, âDaddy actually has information to convey tomorrow morning. But, after thinking about it, itâs better for me to convey it tonight.â
The twinsâ eyes widened. âWhat information, Daddy?â
âThere is good news from Ava and Jeremy.â
Emilyâs face lit up. âAre they dating?â
Frank let out a small laugh. âNo. Thatâs not it.â
Louis lowered his eyebrows until his eyes were shadowed. âDoes it
have anything to do with Grandma or Mrs. Connor?â
Frank snapped his fingers. âYour guess is almost accurate. Mrs.
Connor is awake.â
âReally?â The twins gaped wide. âShe is awake?â
Kara nodded. âShe asked about you. Apparently, she heard your singing on New Yearâs Eve. Because of that, she wanted to meet you.â
The twinsâ laughter instantly warmed the atmosphere.
âThis is very exciting news. We should throw a party to celebrate it!â
âAnd we have to prepare a song for Mrs. Connor. Sheâll love hearing it. But no more Lion Sleeps, Louis.â
While the twins were busy making plans, Kara looked at Frank with a big smile. She was relieved that the two toddlers were distracted from the previous topic.
âDaddy, Mommy,â Louis suddenly caught their attention, âdidnât the school give us a break tomorrow? They said we were still recovering How about tomorrow morning, we visit Mrs. Connor?â
âYes, we can come with fruit. She will be happy.â Emily nodded cutely.
Smiling, Frank shook his head slowly. âSorry, Kids. I will be busy tomorrow. A lot of work has been hampered today.â
Instead of being disappointed, Louis rounded his eyes. âWe can wait until Daddyâs work is finished.â
âIf I finish at night, is that okay?â Frank raised an eyebrow.
âThat would be even better. We could have dinner together. Jeremy wouldnât mind and Mrs. Bell would be happy!â Emilyâs voice was
cheerful.
Kara chuckled at that. âThatâs why you have to sleep now. Donât let yourself be sleepy tomorrow night.â
The twins giggled as they pulled the blanket. âOkay. Good night, Mommy, Daddy.â
Frank and Kara smiled faintly. âGood night, Kids.â They kissed Louis and Emilyâs foreheads in turn. The two toddlers closed their eyes and smiled sweetly.
The next evening, the twins ran happily towards the entrance of Jeremyâs house. Seeing Vivian appear with a bright smile, they spread their hands.
âMrs. Bell, Mrs. Bell!â
Vivian welcomed them with a warm hug. âHello, Louis, Emily. How are you? You seem in great spirits.â
Louis nodded firmly. âYeah! We canât wait to party tonight.â
âThis is our first party with Avaâs mother. It will definitely be a lot of fun!â Emily gave a small jump.
Vivian chuckled. âThen come in. She is resting in her room.â
âThank you, Mrs. Bell.â
After kissing the squatting woman on the cheek, the twins moved their little legs again. Their laughter sounded light in the air.
âMrs. Connor, Mrs. Connor!â
The twins spread cheer along the hallway they passed. When they arrived at the womanâs room, they jumped up and down with joy.
Their hands waved excitedly.
âHello, Mrs. Connor. Let me introduce myself, Iâm Louis.â
âAnd Iâm Emily. Weâre fraternal twins. Louis was born before me.â
âWeâre glad youâre finally awake!â the two toddlers cried at the same
time.
Seeing the enthusiasm of the two toddlers, Ava smiled sweetly. Moreover, her mother finally showed light in her eyes.
