Chapter 382
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
S31 125. Make Over
Jeremy occasionally took his eyes off the road. The face of the girl next to him looked very cool. Ava was quiet as usual. However, her lips curled up slightly, becoming an addiction for him.
âHow was your short tour?â
Ava glanced over with a wider smile. âIt was so much fun. Louis and Emily were so articulate. They explained everything in great detail, but it was still fun. And the people at Savior â¦.â
Ava took a deeper breath. Her eyebrows rose higher, as did her shoulders.
âThe employees were so friendly. They welcomed me
enthusiastically. There were indeed some people whispering. But the Twins said it was because they admired me. They applauded that a simple nurse like me could conquer your heart.â
âSo now, you know that what I said is true?â
âYes, I shouldnât be prejudiced. Not everyone treats me like Eva an Mom. I should have respected myself more a long time ago.â
Smiling, Jeremy took Avaâs hand and kissed it. âYou have to
remember, Ava. Itâs not other people who determine how great we are, but our own thoughts.â
Ava nodded. âIâm lucky that you can see that quality in me. You donât think too highly of me, do you?â Her eyes narrowed.
Jeremy laughed lightly. âI am the person I am. My judgment is always objective. I can see you because my observation is sharp.â
âSince when did you start observing me?â
1/6
âSince our first meeting, Iâve always been observing you. But, I only really noticed you when we were sitting together in the car.â
âWhen we first argued?â Ava raised an eyebrow. âYou said you were looking in the rearview mirror?â
Jeremyâs laughter was in the air. âWe were still enemies at that time. How could I confess?â
While laughing, Ava shook her head. She still could not believe that she and Jeremy ended up become lovers, and even future husband
and wife.
However, as soon as she realized the direction they were heading, her attention was diverted. âJeremy, arenât we going home?â
âAre you in a hurry? I want to take you somewhere.â
Ava quirked an eyebrow and waved her hand. âNo, Iâm just surprised. Where are you going?â
Jeremy smiled wryly. âYou are my future wife. I would feel guilty if I had never asked you to dinner.â
âShall we have dinner with me dressed like this?â Ava pinched her plain shirt which was far from classy.
âDonât worry. We can stop by to buy you a dress.â
Avaâs eyes widened. âA new dress again? I havenât even had time to wear yesterdayâs dress.â
âYou can wear that dress to Philip and Barbaraâs wedding. Now, letâs look for a dress that is more appropriate for dinner.â
âBut dresses must be very expensive. Letâs just rent them. It would be a shame if we bought them but rarely wear them.â
Jeremy glanced at Ava in disbelief. âAre you serious? When other
women expect to buy expensive dresses, you want to rent them instead?â
Ava blinked in confusion. âWhatâs the harm? Iâm used to living simply. Besides, I prefer trousers.â
âBecause you are my future wife, you can be a little extravagant.
There will be many important events later that you have to attend with me. So, get used to dresses.â
âEvents?â Avaâs eyebrows furrowed. Her introverted soul struggled.
âInvitations from clients, important Savior events, and much more. But you donât need to panic. I will always be by your side.â
Ava let out another sigh. âI didnât think that far ahead. Should I learn from Kara? I donât know anything about hanging out with big people.â
Jeremy stroked the back of Avaâs hand. âJust relax. You donât need to rush. Now letâs focus on our dinner.
When they arrived at a boutique, Ava couldnât relax at all. The prices mentioned made her knees tremble. There was not a single product less than her monthâs salary.
âWhat about these heels?â
As another fantastic number was stated, Ava tugged at her loverâs shirt. âJeremy, you said we were going to buy a dress? You already picked five. Shouldnât we get out of here?â
Jeremy turned his head with a relaxed look. One of his arms was still folded in front of his chest, supporting his other elbow so that his hand can hold his chin without feeling sore.
âYou want to wear a dress with those shoes?â
Jeremyâs eyes moved downwards. Ava followed the direction. Looking at the worn sneakers that had accompanied her for three
3/6
years, Ava bit her lip.
âOkay, but one pair is enough.â
âFive.â
Ava shook her head. âI only need one.â
âIf it breaks, we have to bother looking for a replacement. Five is better.â
âNo, Jeremy. Two is better.â
âThatâs too few. How about four?â
âOkay, three. Thatâs my maximum limit. Donât bid any more.â
Jeremy smiled faintly. âOkay. Choose the three pairs you like the
most. Donât think too much because we still have to choose bags and
accessories.â
Ava was stunned. âBut-â
âChoose.â
Jeremy pressed Avaâs back with gentle pushes. The girl couldnât help but step forward and study the products.
âI told you not to think about price. Just choose what you like. Why did you choose the cheapest one?â Jeremy asked as they got back to
the car.
âThis is what I like the most. The others have too many diamonds or beads. Iâm a fan of simplicity.â
After fastening her seat belt, Ava steadied herself in her seat facing forward. âNow, shall we go to the restaurant?â
âAre you hungry yet?â
âNo, why?â
4/0
Jeremy smiled crookedly. âPlease be patient a little longer. Just think about which dress you want to wear to dinner.â
âIâve chosen. I want to wear the brown one.â
âGood. Then, think about your shoes, bag, and hairstyle.â
âHairstyle?â
While starting the car, Jeremy whispered, âWeâre going to the best salon in town.â
âSalon?â Ava stared wide eyed. âAm I not beautiful enough?â
Jeremy shook his head with a small smile. âSalon is not a place to make people beautiful. Itâs a place to highlight someoneâs aura to make them more radiant.â
âOkay, you sound like Eva now.â Avaâs eyes narrowed.
Jeremyâs laughter returned to the air. âThose are Barbaraâs words. Now calm down. No need to panic. Whatever they do to you, Iâm sure youâll still be beautiful. Think about your hairstyle later.â
âDo I still have the right to choose? I heard that hair stylists like to make their own decisions.â
Jeremy shrugged. âWe will see later.
Upon arrival at the salon, Ava was greeted by several people. Itâs like they already know what to do. Ava was directed to a chair. Her legs were propped up by another, much smaller chair. Her arms were stretched to the sides, leaning on another cushion.
A man with colorful hair walked casually around Ava. After his staff finished untying Avaâs hair, he began to deliver his analysis.
âYou have beautiful hair, very beautiful. Why do you keep wearing it in a ponytail? Gosh, it becomes bent like this.â
Ava blinked. âItâs more practical. It doesnât disturb me during work.â
âLet me take care of it tonight. See how I conjure your appearance. Next time, if you want to shine even more, just copy what I do. Understand?â
Ava glanced at Jeremy in the reflection of the mirror. The man was already sitting in the waiting chair, shrugging his shoulders in
resignation.
âOkay, I knew you were going to take over.â
âGood!â The man clapped his hands twice. âGirls, come on, mobilize your pretty fingers. We only have one hour.â
