Chapter 383
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
S3| 126. The Most Beautiful Girl
Jeremy never knew that waiting could be that fun. Even though his hand was holding the tablet, his eyes kept being attracted to Ava. He was curious about how the girl would be after being polished-the girl. he had previously called stiff and unattractive.
Suddenly, a message came from Kara. âUncle, has Ava had her make over done?â
Reading that, Jeremy let out a small snort. âIs this Louis or Emily? Or both?â
However, his fingers typed a reply, âNot yet. Whatâs wrong, Emily?â
âThis is Louis, Uncle. Why do you think Iâm Emily? Emily could not dare steal Mommyâs phone.â
Jeremy shook his head slightly. His heart tingled. Somehow, Louisâ voice rang in his ears, like he was nagging.
âSorry. I thought you were Emily for using the word make over.â
âIs Emily the only one who knows that word? Me too, Uncle. Iâm smar too.â
Before Jeremy had time to think about a reply, another new message
came in.
âAre you nervous?â
Jeremyâs eyebrows rose. âWhy do you ask that, Louis?â
âItâs me, Emily. Louis was typing too slowly. So I took over.â
Jeremy let out another laugh. âYes, a little.â
âUncle, donât worry. Ava must be very beautiful.â
Jeremy glanced at Ava again. The salon workers still surrounded her. Suddenly, his phone vibrated again.
âUncle, remember how I drew Ava for her birthday? She must be that
beautiful, especially with her hair down. Louis said so too.â
Jeremy smiled involuntarily. âThank you, Twins. Iâm not nervous anymore.â
âWhen Ava is finished, donât forget to take a photo. We also want to see the results.â
âOkay.â
However, just when Ava entered the dressing room, a pounding heart made Jeremy forget the twinsâ request. He no longer focused on his tablet or phone. He just wanted to see Ava, admire her beauty.
When the girl returned to him, Jeremy didnât blink at all. It seemed as if he didnât want to miss a single second without admiring her
appearance.
âTada! Here is your gorgeous girlfriend, Mr. Harper.â The colorful- haired man spread his arms, presenting the results of his hard work Do you like it?â
âWow! Is this really Ava Connor?â Jeremy looked up and down. The girl was more like a goddess than an ordinary human. Her elegance shone through.
Ava smiled shyly. Tucking her hair behind her ear, she stepped
forward.
âIs that a compliment or a joke?â
âOf course itâs a compliment,â Jeremy sighed, diving into the soft. twinkle in Avaâs eyes. âI think Emily is really a genius. She said you would look exactly like the picture she made. It turns out itâs true.

Youâre perfect with your hair down naturally like this. And this dress⦠shineâs even more on you.â
Jeremy ran his fingers through Avaâs hair. However, the vibrations it sent traveled down to her bones. Ava almost shuddered as the hairs on the back of her neck bristled.
âThis is not natural, Jeremy. Friends from this salon conjured it. I canât promise that it will still be like this tomorrow.â
Jeremy shook his head faintly. âDonât be humble. That will only raise you higher on the throne in my heart. The problem is you are already at the top.â
âI think your mother will be jealous of me if she hears that,â Ava joked. She didnât want to bounce too high because her cheeks were already quite red now.
âNo, my mother will actually be happy. Sheâs been expecting me to say something like this to a girl. So, Jeremy offered his arm, âcan we go now?â
Ava nodded slightly. With her head slightly lowered, she linked her hand to the strong arm. Then, after thanking him, the two of them drove off to another place.
A few moments later, they arrived in front of a skyscraper. Ava gape as she tried to see the tip of the top. After squinting to no avail, she turned her gaze to Jeremy.
âAre you serious weâre going to eat up there?â Her finger was pointed at the sky.
Jeremy smiled crookedly. He liked her innocent expression every time she was surprised.
âYes, on the 71st floor. Youâre not afraid of heights, right?â
Ava shook her head slowly. âIsnât it hard to get a table there? The line

is long, and you only made a reservation today. How much did you bribe them?â
Jeremy pressed his lips against his chin. âDoes it matter? My priority is pampering my future wife.â
Ava snorted in disbelief. âYou donât sound like Jeremy. Are you imitating your brother again?â
âYou donât like it?â
Ava smiled wryly. âJust be yourself, Jeremy. Thatâs better.â
âBut this is who I am now, me after getting to know you. You have to get used to it. I donât want to be a stiff man for my wife.â
Jeremy offered his arm. âReady to break through the sky?â
The curve of Avaâs lips pursed mysteriously. âIâve been through the sky since you gave me the ring.â She placed her hand in the crook of Jeremyâs elbow.
âNow youâre the one who doesnât sound like yourself.â
Ava chuckled. âIâm just trying to be more honest.â
âGood. Keep it up. Iâm taking you to dinner so we can get to know each other better. Iâve even prepared a list of questions.â
Jeremy started walking. Her steps were slow, matching Avaâs elegance in her classic dress.
âThe 71st floor is still a long way to go. You can ask questions from now,â Ava whispered while they were in the elevator.
Jeremy brought his lips to Avaâs ear. âThere are other people here. You donât mind?â
Ava met their gazes. âWhat do you want to know about me?â
âEverything. Your hobbies, your dreams, your favorite food, your

favorite position.â
âJeremy!â Ava patted the arm of the man who was smiling mischievously. Her eyes darted here and there, checking to see if anyone was listening.
âI mean your position at the dining table. Would you prefer us to sit facing each other or next to each other? What are you thinking?â
Ava was stunned. Her mouth was slightly open, but words refused to
come out.
âHas your mind been dirty since a long time ago or recently?â
Blinking, Ava let out an awkward laugh. âYouâre the one who pollutes my thoughts like this,â she whispered before patting Jeremyâs arm
again.
Feeling tickled, Jeremyâs eyes became increasingly filled with love and warmth. He and Ava kept whispering intimately. Their distance only grew when a waiter greeted them on the 71st floor.
âWelcome, Mr. and Mrs. Harper. Your table is set.â
Ava stared wide eyed. Before she had time to ask, Jeremy respond and grabbed her hand to walk along.
After a while, they finally arrived at a private room with an outer wa made of glass. The twinkling city lights were painted there. Aval involuntarily chuckled watching it.
âJeremy, this is so beautiful.â
With a small smile, Jeremy pulled out a chair for her. âWe can enjoy it while having dinner. Please have a seat, Princess.â
There was a long table near the glass. Two seats were set next to each other. From there, they could observe the entire night. Cars passing by, twinkling multi-colored lights, and shadows from the

clouds. But for Jeremy, the reflection of Avaâs smile was the most beautiful thing on the glass.
âJeremy, do we have to choose a menu? I donât know what to order,â Ava whispered after sweeping the scene briefly.
Jeremy smiled faintly. âI already chose the menu during the
reservation. We just have to wait. Now, can we start the honesty session?â
Ava nodded casually. âYou seem impatient.â
âYes, Iâm curious. When did you start to be interested in me? And why? Even though in the past, we never got along.â
