“No!” Hailey’s fingers trembled a few inches in front of her cheek. Her eyes were horrified, as if she was seeing a ghost in the mirror.

“Is it true?” Emily wiped her own face.

Frank repeated his head movements then pulled her into a hug. “Yes, it’s okay. You did well. Daddy is proud that you were able to stop the intruder.”

“Yeah, you did great, Emily! You used your taser gun in a cool way.” Louis straightened up his thumbs.

“Now, where is Mommy?” Frank raised an eyebrow, turning to Louis. His hand was still patting Emily’s back.

Louis glanced at the cubicle door which was still closed. “Mommy is still inside. Why hasn’t she come out yet?”

Frank’s eyebrows knitted together again. After leaving Emily with Jeremy, he stood up and knocked on the door.
