S31 165. Naughty Louis

“Philip, look!” Barbara pointed at the candles that were lined up to form a path leading to the bedroom. “Isn’t this very sweet?”

Philip smiled slightly. Rubbing Barbara’s arm, he whispered, “This is just the beginning, but you already like it?”

Barbara nodded. Her eyes filled with tears. “Yes, the twins are full of ideas. I don’t know how they can be that romantic, even though they are still so young.”

“Is that sarcasm to me?” Philip furrowed an eyebrow.

Barbara chuckled. “No. Let’s follow the drone before Emily grumbles

again.”

A moment later, they found Emily’s handwriting on the wall near their bedroom door. “Congratulations, Uncle and Auntie! Happy wedding!”

There were several flowers drawn in various colors on the paper. In the bottom row, a bride and groom were painted kissing. A heart came out of their mouths.

“Oh, this is so cute.”

“Yeah, Emily is cute.”

Suddenly, the drone approached them then moved back and for Philip and Barbara could tell that Louis was annoyed because th

movements were slow.

“Okay, okay.” Barbara laughed. She raised one hand towards the camera. “Sorry, we’re enjoying this too much.” She clarified through her mouth movements.

Then, they entered the room. Red rose petals on the floor guided

them. There were several orders, written on large pieces of paper.

“Holding hands!”

“Uncle, take this flower!”

“Put it to Auntie’s ear!”

Barbara giggled as Philip put the flower in her earlobe. “Not there, Phil. Here.” She helped her husband place the small flower correctly.

Then, with tingling hearts, they followed the steeply curved path of the roses. A cassette player was placed at the end.

“Turn on!”

After Philip pressed the play button, music played softly. Barbara could not help but smile. When she found the next order, she muttered, “I knew it. They’ll tell us to dance.”

“But only ten seconds.” Philip pointed to the words Barbara didn’t read. “That’s too short.”

“Then we shouldn’t waste any time.”

Barbara put her arms around Philip’s neck. Philip placed his arms

around Barbara’s waist. Little by little, they move towards the next

paper.

However, when Philip raised her hand, she spun. She stopped perfectly in his arms again.

“This is so fun,” she whispered with a sweet smile.

Suddenly, the drone approached them again. Knowing what Louis

“Press on button!”

Barbara’s eyebrows furrowed in amusement. “Are they preparing animation again?”

However, as soon as the TV was on, her eyebrows rose with emotion. A video of them playing on the beach was shown there. It was their first picnic.

“So, how is she, Philip?” Louis’ voice sounded like a whisper.

Philip in the video was sitting on the sand. His brows furrowed, but his lips curved crookedly. “What do you mean by that?”

“What do you think about Auntie? Is she beautiful?”

Louis moved the camera to another direction. Barbara and Emily were walking along the beach. Both of them held their hats tightly. When the camera returned to Philip, the man’s smile faded.

“Yeah, she’s beautiful.”

“Woohoo! Philip is enchanted by Auntie! Auntie …!”

The video suddenly shook. A few seconds later, the camera was

facing the sky. The sound of Louis and Philip’s giggling caught their

attention.

“Aunt-”

“You promised to keep it a secret, Louis!”

“Philip likes-”

The video paused. Barbara blinked with her eyes already wet. “You already liked me at that time?”

Philip smiled and nodded. “Yes.”

Philip let out a small laugh. “But I like you. I don’t know how I started being attracted to you. Suddenly, you already filled my heart and mind. Nothing can stop me if I have made my choice.”

Barbara hugged Philip with her eyes closed. She thought that she couldn’t be happier after their wedding day. But apparently, she was wrong. Philip’s simple confession deepened the love between them.

Only when the drone sounded closer did they realize that two little kids were watching them. Clearing their throats, they turned to the

camera.

“Louis, Emily, thank you for your sweet surprise. We are very happy and appreciate it. Now, can you take this thing out?” Barbara pointed at the door with all five fingers.

“Your auntie and I are in the mood to plant a baby,” Philip added. Barbara spontaneously nudged him at the stomach.

Instead of leaving the room, the drone went up. Philip and Bar looked up with their eyebrows pressed against their foreheads.

“Does he not want to get out?” Barbara whispered, blinking.

“It seems so.”

Philip reached out and jumped. Unfortunately, Louis had already moved the drone towards the corner

“Louis!” Philip grabbed a chair, placing it near the closet. Just as he was about to go up, the drone moved again.

“Emily, please tell Louis to stop playing around.” Barbara apparently had called Emily.

“I already told him, Auntie, but Louis is naughty. He won’t listen. Louis, stop bothering Uncle and Auntie! They can’t give us a younger cousin if you disturb them.”

“No way!”

“Louis!”

Barbara could imagine the boy running away from Emily. While massaging her temples, she asked Emily to turn on speaker mode.

“Louis, please stop teasing us. We are newlyweds, we need privacy. If you want to be nosy, just bother Jeremy.”

“No! Uncle Jeremy is too strict. It’s not fun to tease him! Besides, he’s busy looking after Auntie Ava and baby in her stomach.”

Barbara laughed dryly. “You think Philip isn’t busy? He also has to

take care of me?”

“You’re an adult, Auntie, and you aren’t pregnant yet. He doesn’t n to take care of you.”

Barbara sighed in disbelief. Around her, Philip was still trying to catch the drone.

“Baby!” Barbara grabbed his arm. “Let’s do it in another room. Let’s lock up the flying object here.”

Hearing that, Louis hurriedly flew the drone out. Just then, Barbara closed the door. Louis could only be stunned, realizing that he had been deceived.
