Barbara’s breath had been heavy. Feeling tired, she raised her hands. and paddles up.

Barbara laughed too. She felt silly for being happy about her victory. Even though it was clear, Philip deliberately gave in.

“It’s such a beautiful day, Phil. So is this view. Look at the water could it be so clear? It feels like I’m skating on crystal.” Barbara ruffled the water with her paddle. “Look! The water is like crystal drops.”

Barbara turned her head with her eyebrows pressing against her forehead. Seeing how warm Philip’s eyes glowed, her heart tingled.

“Are you sure it’s just me? Look around us. Those majestic mountains, cute houses in the distance, and the sky that’s like a painting.”

Shania pursed her lips. “I thought we agreed to be friends and travel together?”

Barbara rolled her eyes and sighed in disbelief. Before she could speak again, Philip stroked her shoulder.

“Be patient, Babe. Don’t get emotional. Our moment could be ruined.

How about we continue over there?”

Philip and Barbara canceled rowing. When they turned around, Shania let out a laugh.

Philip glanced up from under a furrowed brow. But a second later, h gaze returned to his wife. “Babe, we haven’t had time to take photo here. The twins will nag us if we forget to send a report about our fun today.”

Barbara’s eyes brightened. “That’s right. Let’s take a photo.” She took her phone from the bag tucked into the kayak strap.

“Need help?” Shania drove around to Barbara’s side.

“Yes. I need your help to stay out of the camera. Can you stay there?” Barbara extended her arm to Shania’s side, looking for the right angle so that Philip and the view behind her appeared on the screen. “Smile,

The corners of Shania’s lips twitched. Her chest felt tight. However, she didn’t want to give up yet. She returned to paddling the kayak, parking next to Philip.

When Shania was about to row, a wave came from behind. She turned around, thinking it was Poppy who was approaching. But apparently, her best friend was still far behind.

Barbara chuckled. However, seeing a fin and a large black shadow appearing and then disappearing in the sea, she froze. Her twink eyes melted her petrified tension.

“Phil, are there sharks here?”

Philip raised his eyebrows. “Sharks? I’ve never heard of those

creatures here.”

Barbara swallowed hard. “But earlier… I saw its fin.”

“Fin?” Philip looked around. Shania was also frozen, just like Barbara.

Philip’s expression turned serious. “Did you see correctly?”

Before Philip finished speaking, something big jumped out of the water. Barbara spontaneously screamed, leaning away. Losing balance, her kayak turned upside down. It crashed as the huge monster hit the water.
