Chapter 437
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
S31 180. Camping at the Beach
âPhilip, slow down! Youâre going too fast!â Barbara screamed between
breaths.
While chuckling, Philip maintained his speed down the rocky path. His hands were stretched behind him, forming a fence so that his wife
wouldnât get out of the way or fall.
âAre you afraid of your dreams coming true?â
âYes!â Barbara said at the top of her voice. âIt wouldnât be funny if we
rolled over here.â
âBut you have to hold on, Babe. This trains your leg muscles!â
âThis isnât muscle training. This is courage testing!â
Philipâs laughter returned to the air. âThen, hold on tighter! Letâs increase our speed!â
âPhilip!â
Barbara didnât have time to look anywhere else. She only focused her feet movements. Her lungs worked even irregularly.
Once the terrain was no longer steep, Philip finally slowed down. After stopping, he immediately turned around and hugged Barbara.
âCongratulations, Babe. You managed to conquer another mountain. Youâre really great.â He kissed her forehead.
However, Barbara didnât seem happy. Her chest felt so hot that her lungs were about to burst. âYouâre crazy, Philip.â
âIt doesnât matter. The important thing is that you still love me.â
While Barbara laughed through her tight breaths, Philip wiped the

sweat of her face with a handkerchief.
âPhil, I think we need to wash your handkerchief. How many times have you used it to wipe my face? It must be dirty.â
âActually, Iâm a little afraid to wash this. Emily said this is a special handkerchief. We have to wash it carefully. Just rub it lightly or the fibers will be damaged. You know how strong I am. She would definitely cry if she found out I failed to look after her gift properly.â
Barbara chuckled. âThen, let me wash it later. We still have clean water in the van, right?â
Philip nodded. âOkay. Now, letâs focus on setting up the tent.â
the
âWhere are we going to build it?â Barbara checked in all directions. Her eyes radiated enthusiasm. However, when she found Shania, curve of her lips turned around.
âIt turns out to be their tent?â she sighed in disbelief.
Philipâs face changed too. He didnât like the girl who was sunbathing in bikini. âSheâs completely out of her mind. Just ignore her, Babe. Only stressed people would want to bask under this hot sun and
cold air.â
Barbara nodded stiffly. âLetâs build a tent.â
Realizing that she was being ignored, Shania glanced secretly. However, instead of being annoyed, her lips curled crookedly.
âNow you can ignore me. But later, letâs see. You wonât be able to turn. your back on me.â
Evening came, but the sun still shone brightly. Only its position was closer to the ocean, emitting yellow light that blended with the faded blue of the sky and white of the clouds.
âIsnât it very beautiful?â Philip whispered as he stirred instant noodles

in a pot of boiling water.
Barbara blinked. She stopped glancing at Shania, turned to Philip. Yeah, and it sure tastes good.â
Philip raised an eyebrow at that response. Tilting his head, he stroked her shoulder. âWhy arenât you focused? I asked whether you thought this view was beautiful or not.â
Barbara blinked stiffly. Biting her lip, she looked down. âSorry, I didnât feel safe because she was still there.â
âWhy? Are you afraid Iâll turn away from you?â
Barbara shook her head slightly. âI donât know. I have a bad feeling.â
Philip turned off the stove. While putting his arm around her shoulders, he kissed her temple.
âI think itâs because of that nightmare. Donât make it a burden, Babe. Now, stop looking at that tent and try to look at the other side. Itâs much more beautiful.â
âOkay.â Barbara forced a smile. âThanks for convincing me.â
âYou donât need to doubt me.â
Barbara nodded. Her eyes brightened again. âMaybe Iâm thinking negatively because Iâm hungry. Are our noodles cooked yet?â
âAlready.â Philip hurriedly lifted the noodles into a container he fou in the campervan. âBe careful, itâs hot.â
While Philip and Barbara ate intimately, Shania kept grumbling. âHey, Poppy! Why canât you boil noodles properly? What are we going to eat now? I donât want to eat these burnt noodles.â
Poppy pursed her lips. Her eyes blinked slowly. âI told you earlier, I wanted to change clothes. I asked you to handle it. You said yes.â

âYou know Iâm watching the man of my dreams,â Shania said angrily.
âOkay, sorry. Now what do you want me to do? Ask them for noodles? Who knows, they might bring more.â
Hearing that idea, the wrinkles on Shaniaâs face disappeared. âYes, itâs better than if we starve. Itâs also your fault that you only brought two packs of noodles here.â
Shania stood up. âCome on. You ask them. Iâm just accompanying you.â
Noticing Shaniaâs presence, Barbara immediately glanced at her with a sharp gaze. âWhat do you want here?â Steam came out from her mouth.
âSorry to disturb you. I was careless when cooking. Our noodles burned and we didnât bring more stock. Do you guys have any more
instant noodles?â
âThat sounds like an excuse.â Barbaraâs eyes narrowed.
Poppy shook her head quickly. âNo, this isnât a setup. We coul starve if you guys arenât kind to us. Weâll replace it tomorrow w get back to the parking lot.â
âThen why donât you go home? Or go back to your car. It wonât b anyone else.â Barbara sounded curt.
âIn this condition, we could pass out before we reach the parking lo That would be even more troublesome. So, are you willing to share food with us or not?â Shania said, a bit forcefully.
Philip moved from his position. âBabe, wait here. Iâll get noodles for them. If anything happens, just shout out loud.â
Barbara nodded. A second later, she watched Shania.
âArenât you cold in such thin clothes?â Barbara looked at her white t-

shirt which was almost transparent.
âDidnât I tell you? I donât like heat.â
âBut itâs cold here.â
Shania folded her arms in front of her chest. Her eyebrows cocked to one side. âWhere do you guys live? Your tolerance for cold seems really low.â
Barbara shrugged. âWhy should I tell you? Youâll end up terrorizing my house.â
While Shania snorted, Poppy snapped her fingers. âDo you guys have a spare pot? Our pot is burnt too. I donât think it can be used anymore. It will take a long time to fix it.â
Shania suddenly raised her hands with burning enthusiasm. âI can ask Philip so he doesnât have to go back and forth to the tent anymore.â
Before Shania could take a step, Barbara placed her bowl of noodles on the sand and stood up straight. âLet me do it. You guys wait here.â
Shania watched Barbara leave with an annoyed look. Barbara secret felt victorious again. She didnât know that when she entered the tent Shaniaâs expression turned cunning. She twitched an eyebrow and Poppy quickly put something into Barbaraâs bowl and also the pot.
