Chapter 72
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
Sean checked his phone again. âItâs the boy, Sir-the grandson of one
of the librarians.â
Rowanâs lips moved forward. âHow is he?â
âItâs not written in the report, Sir. Do I need to look for the
information?â
Rowan was silent for a moment. Then, he shook his head slowly. âNo. That child has nothing to do with me. Just delete the assault part from the report. Make it look like an accident.â
âOkay, Sir.â Sean stepped back, returning to his original position.
Meanwhile, Rowan sipped tea with a dreamy look. His brows were still furrowed. The image of Louis refused to leave his mind.
Suddenly, the old man snorted with bitter laughter. âI should be thanking the person who launched the attack. Those illegitimate children should not be born. They will only tarnish Harperâs good
name.â
Closing his eyes, he leaned back in his chair, letting the gentle breeze drift his thoughts.
âGrandpa!â
Rowan opened his eyes. He didnât know how long he was closed. If Frankâs voice hadnât echoed, he would have fallen asleep.
âSir?â Sean waited for orders.
Rowan just waved his hand. A moment later, Frank arrived on the top porch out of breath.
âWhat have you done, Grandpa?â the young man asked, keeping his

Rowan glanced at him with half-open eyes. His hand towards the cup that was no longer steaming.
âEnjoying my evening tea and relaxing. Whatâs wrong? Why do you to visit me in your free time? You should spend it with Isabela.â
âDonât act stupid, Grandpa.â
âOh,â Rowanâs finger suddenly straightened, âI also just answered a call from your secretary. She scolded me for baseless reasons. You didnât come here to repeat her words, right?â
Frank snorted. He didnât believe that his grandfather could still relax after harming innocent people.
âYou know what? Iâve been almost crazy all day. Kara doesnât pay attention to me at all. Even when she gets into trouble, she still forbids me from helping or finding out.â
While the grandfather listened, Frank continued with more emphasis, I donât know exactly what agreement you two made. But, Kara has tried hard to keep her distance. Iâm the one who is reluctant to stay away from her. So if thereâs someone you want to blame, itâs me, not
her.â
âSo you donât know whatâs going on?â Rowan raised an eyebrow.
Frank was silent for a moment. He seemed to have the wrong strategy. âI know you just hurt her family.â
Rowan smiled crookedly. âSince when do you make accusations without evidence, Frank? Iâm really disappointed in you. Love has dulled your logical thinking, hmm?â
Frank swallowed hard. His brows furrowed deeper.
âIâm still rational, My Grandson. Thereâs no way I could cause chaos in

Frank was flabbergasted. Rowan didnât realize he had given him a clue.
âIf itâs not you, then who?â
Rowan shrugged his shoulders then leaned back in the chair. âDonât know. Itâs none of my business.â
For a while, not a single sound could be heard. The silence was only broken when Frank took a quick breath.
âKara is the only person I care about. Her business is my business too. If you donât want Saviorâs performance to suffer, stop bothering her.â
After delivering the ultimatum, Frank turned to leave. He didnât care if Rowanâs emotions were sparked by him. The grandfather must know that he would not let anyone hurt Kara.
âSir?â Sean again asked for directions.
However, Rowan just raised his hand. His mind was too busy digesting the facts.
âThat girl is still keeping her children a secret? Does she really want to keep the children away from their father?â
Suddenly, Rowan laughed faintly. âThis is interesting. Letâs see, what is her real intention?â
On the way to the car, Frank kept repeating what his grandfather had said. âItâs impossible to cause chaos in my territory?â
After sitting behind the wheel, he tapped the dashboard with his finger. âIs it possible⦠Karaâs family experienced that incident at one of the Savior companies?â
Frank began to trace the recapitulation of Saviorâs daily reports. There

was hit by a book in the library.
âThis must be Louis,â Frank sighed as he reviewed his encounter with
the boy.
âWhy are their fates so unfortunate? Their parents are busy working, donât have much money, and canât even look after them well. What useless parents â¦.â
After a brief reverie, Frank blinked. An incoming message just
vibrated his phone. A second later, Wela called.
âFrankie, thatâs a list of patients with the last name Martin who came in today.â
Frank put on loudspeaker mode so he could chat while observing the list containing the patientâs name, room number, medical purpose, and guardianâs name. There were about a dozen people there. Some of them were children. Louis Martin was one of them.
âOnly this?â
âYes, there is no Kara Martin name in the guardian section. This is a bit difficult for me to solve alone. I could have checked the CCTV footage, traced where Kara went. But, that will take time. Frank, are you sure you donât want to ask my staff for help? They can keep secrets.â
Suddenly, one of Frankâs eyebrows pressed against his forehead. An idea just lit up his mind.
âWela, can you send me the floor plan of your hospital?â He was able to match it with Karaâs GPS point.
âOf course. Is there anything else I need to do?â
âBesides,â Frank hesitated, âcould you move Louis Martin to a more appropriate room?â,

Silence instantly blended into the air. Frank could imagin friend blinking in astonishment.
âHeâs the grandson of a Savior employee. One of our scholarship recipients too. I accidentally got to know him.â
âYouâve changed a lot, Frankie? I remember very well how you had the heart to kick the kitten that made your shoes dirty. Now, you care so much about a child who is completely unrelated to you?â
Frank cleared his throat. He didnât know what tone to use. His voice
went flat.
âFirst, I didnât kick the kitten. I just lifted my leg, but it turned out it
was too weak so it bounced into the air.â
âSecondly, you must not compare human cases with animals. Where is your humanity, hmm?â.
âThird, he is the grandson of a Savior employee, so he is related to me. Moreover, he was injured due to the negligence of the security team at the Savior library. Letâs just say Iâm making amends for the company managementâs mistakes. Besides, that kid never gets my shoes dirty.â
Wela was stunned. Frank Harper has never used so many points to explain one misunderstanding.
âOkay. I will have the child transferred. What is the reason?â
Frankâs face wrinkled again. âThe reasonâ¦.â
For some reason, he hesitated to act on behalf of Savior.
âJust tell them that Emilyâs friend takes care of everything. The two times I met her, both times I was impressed.â
âWho is Emily? Is she his mother? She is beautiful? Wow, Frankieâ¦. Donât cheat on your lover. It is not good. I donât mind if you cheat on

Frank snorted. âLouis and Emily are twins.â
âOh, so⦠heâs her brother. Okay, I understand. Now youâre interested in children. Youâve changed a lot, Frankie.â
Before Frank could reply, Wela hung up the phone. After a few seconds, a picture message came in. Wasting no time, Frank matched it with the red dot he had followed at the hospital.
