Chapter 88
Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father
âI donât bother at all, Mrs. Martin. I actually enjoy preparing gifts for your sweet grandchildren.â
A second later, Frank glanced at the last bags on the couch. âI also bought some books. I heard that Louis and Emily like reading, and some biscuits and supplements. Taking care of a sick family member must be troublesome and drains energy.â
âBut Iâm not troublesome. I donât need to be taken care of too much.â
Louisâ brows furrowed deeply.
Frank smiled crookedly. âYes, youâre not physically troublesome. But mentally, Iâm sure your mother and grandmother are exhausted.â
âThatâs right. Iâm mentally tired. Thinking about Louisâ condition drains my
energy. I canât even sleep soundly. Worrying about something is very tiring,â Emily said, brushing her hair from her shoulders. Frank smiled at her behavior.
âBecause of that,â the little girl turned her gaze to her brother, âget well quickly, Louis. Donât move too much.â
âI am sitting still.â Louis rolled his eyes. He wondered why everyone doubted him. In fact, he just walked around and jumps a little on the
bed when heâs bored.
Suddenly, the door opened wide again. A second later, Kara came in
panting.
âMommy?â The twins were wide eyed.
Susan approached her daughter. âWhatâs wrong, Kara? Is there anything left behind?â
Kara didnât answer right away. Her gaze fell on the man who was still

Ganymy Limy.
âIâm here to remind my boss, Mom. It seems he forgot that today we have to start early. There is an important project that must be handled immediately.â
Frank knew what was on Karaâs mind. His breathing turned heavy.
âThatâs right. We have to arrive at the office early. Thatâs why I came to pick you up. I didnât expect you to leave first,â Frank explained as he put Emily down.
Kara almost snorted. The bags in the twinsâ hands were clearly the
real reason.
âThen, letâs go now. Mom, Emily, Louis, see you.â
A second later, she grabbed Frankâs suit and pulled him out. The man didnât even have a chance to say goodbye.
Susan was then flabbergasted, Louis sighed, while Emily chuckled with her hand covering her mouth.
âI hope Mr. Kind can melt Mommyâs heart.â
âThat must have been really hard, Emily.â
Susanâs eyebrows met. Her suspicions were beyond doubt.
Meanwhile, in the hospital corridor, Kara was still dragging Frank. There werenât many people on that floor, only Philip and another bodyguard.
âKara, can you relax a bit? Itâs just a gift.â
Kara suddenly turned around and jerked his hand away. Her jaw was throbbing and her eyes were bloodshot.
âRelax? How is that possible? Donât you understand that what youâre doing is putting my family in danger?â Karaâs voice was thin and full

Frankâs breath began to rumble. He was tired of getting that kind of reaction. âThereâs nothing to argue about, Kara. My intentions are very clear. Iâve made up my mind.â
As Kara pressed her temples, he continued, âI have decided to marry
you.â
Kara gasped, while the guards stared wide eyed. Their eyeballs vibrated looking for the right direction.
In silence, Kara checked her surroundings. Finding no additional eyes, she let out a heavy sigh. âMarry me? Are you crazy?â
âYes, Iâve been crazy since my heart chose you. Now, all I want is you.
I will be your husband and the father of your children.â
Kara laughed dryly. Her head shook slightly. âYouâre scaring me, Frank Harper. If you keep acting like this, Iâd rather just disappear without a trace.â
Suddenly, Frank grabbed Karaâs arm. His eyes were bulging and filled
with red streaks.
âDonât you ever⦠mention it⦠again. I donât accept arguments or rebuttals. Once Iâve made up my mind, no one can change it.â
âYou canât just do that-â
Karaâs breath hitched. Her voice was muffled. Frank just leaned forward and stopped right in front of her lips.
âOnce again you use your mouth to rebel, you will regret it.â
Karaâs eyebrows furrowed. Her heart seemed to drop to her stomach. Feeling uncomfortable with their distance, she pushed Frankâs shoulder.
âNonsense! Itâs Isabela you should marry, not me.â

Suddenly, Frank grabbed Karaâs waist with one arm. In a blink of an eye, they were no longer distant.
âIf you still force me to marry her, fine! Iâll marry both of you.â
Kara frowned. Her eyes flickered. âI donât even want to be your only wife, let alone the second wife.â
Frankâs eyes darkened. His hands began to lock Karaâs waist tighter. â You wonât be a second wife, Kara. Next week, we get married.â
Karaâs jaw dropped. Her lips trembled to gather the words. âYou canât force someone who doesnât love you to be your wife.â
The guards held their breath. They wondered why Kara still dared to fight, while the CEOâs warning was very firm.
âYou⦠still dare to argue?â Frankâs body shook with the turmoil in his lungs.
Instead of submitting, Kara raised her chin. âIâm not arguing, but stating the truth. I really donât love you. I refuse to marry you.â
Frankâs breath became more ragged. The fire burning in his chest was too big to be extinguished.
âPhilip, make sure no one interrupts me.â
While the guard raised their eyebrows, Kara blinked. She just realized that she was careless. Before she could think further, Frank pushed
her into the janitorâs room.
âWhat are you-â
It was too late. Frank had already sealed her lips mercilessly.
Outside, the guards were still unmoved. They could imagine what was happening through the sound of the broom stick falling, Karaâs moans, and the CEOâs breath which seemed brutal.

âWhat should we do?â A guard whispered.
Philip shrugged stiffly. With trembling hands, he pulled the door so that there was no longer any slit.
âFrankâ¦.â
Kara was overwhelmed. The CEO really wanted to punish her. It was
like she wasnât allowed to breathe.
After a while, she no longer had the energy to fight. Her face had become a tomato and her grip weakened. She stopped pushing the broad chest in front of her. When the naughty hand acted, Kara couldnât help but wince. She didnât know how to deal with the tingling in every cell in her body.
Feeling a vibration in his arms, Frank finally took a break. Catching his breath, he cupped Karaâs cheek and brushed the blush with his thumb.
âSee? You want me too, Kara. So stop pretending.â
Kara slowly opened her eyes. Looking at the deep gray bead in front of her, she let out a sigh of resignation. She was truly helpless. âDonât give me that look.â
âWhy? Are you afraid of failing to deny your feelings?â Frankr thinly.
Kara couldnât answer. Her eyes filled with tears. The great con
had frozen her common sense.
