“Clara Jacobs, Do you know her?” my mate is the one to ask and I quickly move closer and take his hand. He is upset too. If Liam could notice it, I can’t imagine his feelings right now.

“This dude used to address her by Clara and she told me it was her nickname when she was growing up, Is there something I should know about?” Alpha turns to us and I share concerned glances with Jace. This is f u c k e d up.

So I am the reason she stayed because her boss ordered her to. If it wasn’t for me maybe she would have left Jace and his father long ago.

I silently grab the file and hand it over to Alpha. I take back my sit beside my mate and do everything in my power not to look at him. I should leave the room, but I can’t leave my mate alone.

” g h” the man cries shredding the papers in useless pieces.” I will kill her, how dare she?” she shouts and I feel Jace shaking beside me. This getting out of control. She did wrong by lying to her mate. They don’t deserve this. I can feel their loss.
