Chapter 846
The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 846: THE LUNA, THE ALPHA AND THE ELDERS Elder Xarex glanced at Iris. He had this weird look on his face every time he looked at her, but it was understandable, since what happened with Iris was an anomaly.
There should be only one Serafim, but it was very obvious Abby and Iris held the same power. If anything, Iris was way stronger than Abby. Not only that, they looked pretty similar with red eyes and blue eyes, though Abbyâs hair was in darker shade.
The thing about the Serafim and the lycan was also postponed because of the war within the kingdom, Decratic and Irisâs declaration that only the lycan could help her to destroy Decratic since the sixth sword was him.
They had never heard about the sixth sword before, but from what they heard from the knights, that was true. The sixth sword existed and Iris fought the dragon while riding the lycan, holding the sword to strike the majestic creature.
"Is that prince Kellan?" Elder Rose asked.
"I heard he is cripple," Elder Rania chimed in.
"Decratic healed his legs," Abby explained to them in formal tone. The way she talked to Elder Rose didnât give you an indication that they related by blood. They had so far gone from being mother and daughter.
Cane saw Iris entered the carriage from the corner of his eyes, he knew it was still hard for her to be in close proximity with Kellan. Even when she held a strong power, she still dreaded the thought of being close to Kellan. It had nothing to do with power. It was about how she felt and how it brought back memories that she didnât want to remember...
The shadow of him alone would turn her into that helpless little child, who couldnât do anything, the dreadful feeling that grip her heart and how she was unable to defend herself.
Once again, Iris would turn into that pitiful little girl with the mention of him.
Cane then told Aliana to stay close with Iris. He ordered her to enter their carriage and stay with her.
Aliana was confused with the order, but she did exactly that and stayed with the luna, while the alpha and the Elders went to meet with prince Kellan.
They should be the one, who came to their campsite and entered their territory, without the protection of the knights and the warriors, because that was what Kellan demanded of them.
Iris was right, this was simply a suicide...
"Are you okay, luna? You look so pale." Aliana held her hands and to her surprised they were very cold. "Your hands are so cold. I will get more blanket for you."
"No, stay here, Aliana." Iris grabbed her hand and prevented her from leaving. She didnât want to be alone, because it only worsened her anxiety.
Iris was not sure, which one worse; knowing Cane was out there with Kellan without sufficient protection or insisting to come with him and face Kellan.
Not only that, she had to calm herself down, she couldnât let the darkness consumed her again, but this feeling was very strong. The feeling of anger, helplessness and the urge to do something violent. The darkness crept on the corner of her mind and she had to get rid of it, because this exact feeling was what made Decratic grew stronger.
"I will put the blanket on you, okay..." Aliana draped a blanket on her body and then hugged her luna. She was worried, because Iris had been so well recently. "Do you want me to call for Grace, luna?"
Iris shook her head. "No. I am fine. Let me stay like this." She closed her eyes and concentrated to get a control over her feeling and mind again, while Aliana assumed the luna was taking a nap, though hit was weird, but she didnât make a peep and let her to rest. It was a long journey after all and it was so great that she didnât fall sick.
Meanwhile, Cane and the four elders reached the campsite, where prince Kellan, alpha Derick and Cezi greeted them. Behind them, there were around a thousand warriors, mixed in their human form and beast form, while the rest of their forces were doing something around the campsite on the background.
"Itâs a pleasure to see you again, Cane!" Kellan greeted Cane as if they were an old friend. He didnât even shy to approach him first.
Cane and the four elders dismounted their horses and there were a few warriors came forward to take their horses.
Hearing the greeting, none of them answered it, they were silence. Cane didnât even spare alpha Derick and Cezi a glance, which made them very uncomfortable.
If only Cane asked something from them when he saved Ceziâs life, probably it wouldnât weigh on their conscience to the fact they were scheming him right now. Alpha Derick wished Cane wouldnât come at all and let them execute alpha Colter.
"I know you have a mixed feeling about the whole situation, but letâs discuss this peacefully..."
Kellan talked some more, but it seemed only the elders, who paid close attention to what he said, while Cane had to reign his anger and the wrath of the lycan within him. He could feel Lu was trying to breakfree and harbor an idea of how to end Kellanâs life right there and then.
To Caneâs amusement, the lycan actually had a thousand different way to give the prince a pure torture from hell.
In the end, Kellan invited them to his tent and served them with drink.
"Donât worry, this is safe. I am not keen of using poison," Kellan said, he directed his eyes at Cane. "Right, alpha Cane?"
All of them knew, aside from the elders, what the meaning behind Kellanâs words.
It seemed, the moment he realized he didnât need to put on âthe kind princeâ mask anymore, his action and his words became more daring and provocative. It almost like he was now free to be himself, which was nothing, but an imbecile in Caneâs eyes.
"Yes, I should have used different method," Cane replied nonchalantly and to their surprise, Kellan laughed out loud, he didnât take offense on that.
"What do you want to discuss?" Elder Xarex interrupted when prince Kellan couldnât stop laughing, even alpha Derick and Cezi became uncomfortable with tis side of Kellan.
The mask slipped off even more and the face behind it was something they didnât want to see.
"Itâs very obvious, isnât it?" prince Kellan stopped laughing, but his eyes gleamed with malice. "I will exchange alpha Colterâs life and everything will go to normal as long as you gave up your control over all the south packs and for all the Holy Kingdomâs people to return to their continent and will never get involved in the problem of this kingdom."
"Do you really think alpha Colterâs life meant that much?" Elder Rose narrowed her eyes, that was an outrageous demand and Kellan knew that.
The prince only wanted to provoke them. Alpha Derick tried to talk to him in low voice, because this was not what they agreed upon. The direction of this conversation was where they were heading to.
Cane nodded. "So, if I am the one, who killed alpha Colter myself, will you give up your forces?"
The elders furrowed their brows at Cane. This was not the discussion they had talked about. It seemed, Cane and Kellan had created their own conversation.
Elder Xarex interrupted immediately. "Before anything, I want you to learn about Decratic and what kind of destruction this creature will bring. This is not too late to change your side."
The elders assumed prince Kellan was not really aware of the calamity Decratic brought to this realm and tried to explain the situation in more depth.
However, Cane didnât think like that. He only agreed to this method because he was sure alpha Derick and Cezi would listen to the explanation, while for Kellan... Cane was certain, he already knew about it. After all, it was Decratic, who healed his legs.

Hours passed and when the sun set, Iris became more restless.
It had been more than eight hours ever since Cane and the elders left and they didnât know what happened to them there.
"Luna, you need to eat something," Aliana said, coaxing Iris to eat. She didnât touch her lunch and now her dinner was left untouched too.
"I canât eat, Aliana. The food tasted like sand in my mouth." Iris pulled her hair, her habit whenever she felt uneasy.
Right at that time, before Aliana could persuade her more, someone knocked on the carriage door and she immediately knew it was Lou, his scent was rather familiar to her now.
"Iris, I need to talk with you." Louâs voice was unusually serious. "Come out for a while."
"I will tell him to leave, luna," Aliana said, but Iris grabbed her hand to stop her and shake her head.
"No. I will talk with him, there is something I need to confirm." Cane told her about Louâs birthmark and she assumed, that was the same birthmark like what Zale had behind his back too.
Iris was uncertain about the detail, but she knew they were related to one another.
"Letâs have a walk, there is something I want to talk about." Lou said. He didnât grin, nor he smiled like usual, whenever he saw Iris came out of the carriage.
"Yes, letâs walk." Iris nodded.
Aliana draped her cloak and let the two of them. She looked worried for the luna and the alpha...
