Chapter 959
The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 959: THE FINAL BATTLE (25)
Redmond watched how Cane beheaded Kellan and frowned. "Donât tell me you are going to keep the head like you did to that dead woman."
He helped the little girl, who was being kicked by Kellan earlier to stand up, but she immediately backed off and stared at him sharply.
Redmond didnât think much about that and put his attention back to the alpha, who had shifted into his human form now.
"What are you going to do with that head?" Redmond looked casual, while the other warriors frowned, the sight made their stomach churned.
However, the little girls didnât seem to be bothered by it. They actually stared at Kellan and there was this coldness that children around their age shouldnât have.
"He has an undying body," Cane said. "We will go back." They wouldnât be able to kill Kellan, since he had this body, which was the same like Zeke and Dexter, thus they needed the protectors to take care of him, after they were done with Decraticâs body.
More so...
Cane glanced at Letto, who tried to shield the children from the gory sight of Kellanâs condition. He didnât look evil, but no one could tell for sure about it.
But, whatever it was, his life was sealed the moment he became the pillar of the gates of hell. If they didnât get rid of him, the fissures wouldnât be closed and the red smoke would spread widely, poisoning people in this land.
Cane hoped Iris was still unconscious when they returned, because if what Letto said was true that they were in a good term, it would break Irisâs heart to know they had to kill him.
Let one of the four protectors did it.
"Bring this head with you," Cane said, he kicked Kellanâs head toward Redmond and the red hair warrior looked disgusted. He didnât even want to touch it, as the head was still screaming profanities. "Canât I cut off his tongue so he canât speak?"
Cane gestured to Zephyr and Dean to carry the body. "Do as you please," he said lightly before he led the way out of Celestial Moon pack.
Redmond did it. He pulled Kellanâs tongue, but he tried to bite him, yet he was faster and got his tongue first, which made this head cried and hollered in pain.
And now, Kellan was without body and without tongue.
While they were walking, Redmond was not willing to touch Kellanâs head, thus he kicked his head, as he walked, as if it was a ball.
But then, it didnât take long before Caneâs patient ran out and he shifted into his beast and went ahead. Their pace was too slow for him when he wanted to see his mate right away.
It was understandable, because they had to slow down for the children. From here on, they knew their way back.
Once Cane arrived, he immediately made a beeline toward Iris. Ethan made her sleep on his lap and seemingly, she was still unconscious. She was sleeping like a baby.
The alpha didnât even check on the four protectors, he didnât seem to care at all with Decratic now. He was dead and someone else took care of him.
That devil creature couldnât waste his time anymore, not even a braincell of Cane to think of him.
"How is she?" Cane caressed Irisâs cheek.
"Sleeping soundly."
Cane pulled Iris up and cradled her body. He kissed the tip of her nose and stayed like that, until the group of warriors and little girls came.
Ethan almost jumped out of his skin when he saw Kellanâs head was being kicked around by Redmond.
"Damn! Why creature like this is still alive when they were being beheaded? I canât understand!" Ethan rushed away, he didnât want to see Kellanâs head that made a weird gurgling sound, while Redmond scoffed at the gamma.
"Are you afraid of this?" Redmond taunted him, but Ethan was already running away from the scene.
Meanwhile, Zale glanced at Kellanâs head. He didnât get a clear picture of what was that, until he squinted his eyes and was mortified to see the head, but Lou reprimanded him.
"Focus!" Lou said sternly, which startled Zale and he immediately focused on his task again.
On the other hand, Lou stared at Kellanâs head too. His eyes narrowed dangerously. He knew why Cane brought the head here, it was because the alpha couldnât kill Kellan as he liked, thus he was going to deal with it later.
Lou had been waiting for this moment and his blood sang with violence.
However, Lou was not the only one with violence idea in his mind, Cezi had the same amount of vengeance toward Kellan too, while Derick stared at him with complicated look.
After all, this was the man that he supported all this time. The man that he pledged his loyalty too. Someone that he put in pedestal because he envisioned him as the king of the kingdom.
Derick was more angry at himself, he felt very stupid to be fooled for this long. How he couldnât see it and let a man half of his age deceived him for a long time. He even sacrificed his own daughter.
"What are you planning now, Cane?" Jace asked Cane, who didnât say anything and only savored his moment with Iris.
Cane finally shifted his attention from his mate and looked around him. The red smoke started to appear again from the fissures.
"We need to get out from here as soon as possible." He then glanced at Letto, who was sitting in the distance with the little girls. His expression was complicated, which was understandable, because he was going through a lot of change in his life right now.
Technically, he was with the group of his enemy, people who killed his master.
"Aliana is in Golden Light pack, I think it is safe for us to start heading there," Jace suggested and Cane agreed.
They thought the backlash from Decratic had purged everything, but little did they know that the backlash didnât reach the Golden Light pack and the monsters and the poisonous miasma almost killed them all there.
Currently, Aliana and the other warriors raced with time to reach the pack house and informed them to evacuate immediately, because the fissures would swallow the pack house for sure once it reached there.
Aliana was shaking, she was breathing so much poisonous miasma by now, but they managed to reach the house and order an evacuation.
"You are poisoned!" Abby gasped, she immediately attended to Aliana and the warriors, who came with her.
However, because of the lack of energy, Abby couldnât purify them completely, but it was enough to let them lasted for a few more hours, as they got away from there right in time before the house collapsed and you could see a big fissure appeared on the ground.
"Where are we going to do now?" Abby was spent. She could no longer use her power, she needed to rest.
"We need to reach Aggeverya road," Aliana said grimly.
Through the Aggeverya road, they could reach the other pack too and more importantly, which they hope was safe for them.
"Should we bring them too?" Joel asked, pointing his finger at the war prisoners, in which among them was Alan.
He looked absolutely awful. No one would have ever thought that once upon a time, he was this spoiled prince and was crowned as the king of the werewolf world for less than a year, who would throw a tantrum if there was a speck of dust on his clothes and would kill anyone because he liked it.
But right now, you would think of him as a beggar.
"No! No! No!" Alan shook his head, he looked dreadful when he knew what Joel meant. He didnât want to be fed to the monsters, or died in the poisonous miasma.
There were not many war prisoners now because most of the war prisoner in Golden Light pack came from the royal warrior and they had pledged their loyalty to Derick before they left with the former alpha in order to get Cane a little more force in his campaign.
Alpha Derick knew that people from the Holy Kingdom was not truly an ally.
"No! You canât leave me alone here! I am your prisoner, you need to take me! YOU NEED TO TAKE ME!" Alan was panicking when Aliana was considering Joelâs suggestion.
"Just take him," Aliana said. She didnât have much time to dwell in this matter when they had to get away from here.
It was not because Aliana wanted to save Alan, completely not because of that reason, but she remembered this disgusting person was Ethanâs plaything to blow off some steam whenever he was annoyed.
freÄwÄbηovel.c૦m More so, Ethan had said he would be the person, who ended his life slowly.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Great!" Alan nodded his head repeatedly, as if he was being pardoned. "Letâs go, we need to move!"
Aliana walked toward Alan and punched him on the face. "Shut up," she said coldly, while Alan bent his body over because of the punch and blood came down from his nose.
With that, they walked toward the nearby pack, but instead they met with other fissures and found out two villages had been destroyed, where the people there had died, poisoned by the miasma, or killed by a horde of monster.
And when they decided to go out of Aggeverya road, because a warrior that acted as their scout informed them about monsters, they were trapped with nowhere to go.
