Chapter 272
My Wife Is An All-Around Expert
Chapter 272
The place where Majorie had her accident wasnât too far from Foreverie Jewelry.
When Violet arrived at the scene, the ambulance hadnât arrived. Majorie stood by the car, clutching her waist, her face etched with frustration.
She glanced at Violet and spoke in a somewhat sulky tone, âCould you stay with me for a little longer? The ambulance hasnât arrived yet.â
Violet, assessing Majorieâs condition, furrowed her brow. âWhat happened to you?â
Majorie pouted, âI twisted my waist and sprained my foot!â
Violet felt somewhat embarrassed. âIs it essential to call an ambulance for that?â
Hearing this, Majorie choked up a bit, her frustration still evident. âIâm in pain here!â
She then proceeded to recount Abelâs various misdeeds to Violet, saying, âYou donât even know how awful that guy is. If I ever see him again, Iâll beat him so badly that he wonât recognize his parents!â
Violet felt somewhat helpless. âMaybe heâs a doctor. Heâs not stu pid, and even if he wanted to take advantage, he wouldnât do it in front of everyone.â
As Violet finished speaking, the driver serving as a background figure nearby nodded. hurriedly. âThat gentleman is very kind. He had some urgent matter and had to leave. Otherwise, he would have surely accompanied this young lady to the hospital!â
Violet gave Majorie a somewhat exasperated look. âDonât get so worked up!â
Majoric pouted, her face filled with discomfort, as she unleashed a tirade of criticism against Abel, picking apart every aspect of him from head to toc.
When the ambulance finally arrived, Violet accompanied Majorie into the vehicle while the taxi driver patiently waited for the car dealership representatives to deal with the scratches on the car.
Even on the ambulance ride, Majoric couldnât resist venting her frustrations about Abel, exclaiming, âDo you know what he said to me? He accused me of trying to scam him. and dared to claim that I looked wealthy, insinuating that I shouldnât be asking for money for the car. What kind of person is he?â
Violet couldnât help but chuckle and remarked, âIâd be quite curious to meet this person and see if he truly deserves all the criticism youâre showering him with!â
Listening to the taxi driverâs perspective, that person might not be as bad as Majorie

portrayed.
Majorie was about to sit up and further defend herself when she aggravated her injured. waist, causing her to grimace in pain.
She gritted her teeth and said, âIâm not exaggerating. Iâm just telling it like it is. Being that good-looking, itâs a waste of a handsome face!â
Violet stole a glance at her, a mixture of amusement and exasperation dancing in her
eyes.
Without uttering another word, she looked at Majorie, and her smile faded, lost in her thoughts.
Majorie sensed the change in Violetâs demeanor and inquired, âViolet, is there something bothering you?â
Reflecting on her recent encounter with Rose at the office, Violet shook her head. somberly, âNo, not at all.â
Recognizing Violetâs mood, Majorie decided not to press any further.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Violet secured a wheelchair for Majorie and escorted her to the orthopedic specialist.
During their ride in the ambulance, Majorie had received a scolding from the doctor, as her injuries were deemed not too severe.
Majoric knew she had acted somewhat childishly and, as such, remained silent while the doctor offered her advice.
Violet arrived at the Orthopedic Department and was surprised to see Abelâs name on the signboard. She hadnât expected him to be on duty today.
Abel was primarily a cardiac surgeon with some expertise in orthopedics, but he typically worked in the Cardiac Surgery Department. Seeing his name in the Orthopedic Department was entirely unexpected for Violet..
She promptly helped Majorie with the registration process, mentioning that she knew
this doctor.
The nurse instructed them to wait inside one of the consultation rooms, saying, âPlease wait a moment. Dr. Fuller will be with you shortly.â
Majorie couldnât resist her curiosity and asked, âIs this doctor handsome? Or is he an older gentleman? How do you know him?â
Violet rolled her eyes playfully, responding, âYouâre overthinking it. Heâs in his twenties,

quite good-looking, and a skilled doctor!â
Majorie looked at Violet with a mix of skepticism and curiosity. âYoung, handsome, and highly skilled, huh? Are you sure this guy is as reliable as you claim?â
Violet raised an eyebrow and retorted, âWell, heâs the hospital director. Trust me, heâs reliable!â
In hospitals, someone only became a director with the qualifications and skills necessary for such a position.
Majorie pouted and remarked, âReliable is all I need. Donât be like that quack I ran into on the road today, claiming to be a doctor and getting handsy in broad daylight!â
As Majorie finished speaking, Abel appeared at the entrance to the Orthopedic Department.
He had overheard Majorieâs comments, but since she had her back turned to him, he didnât pay much attention. Yet, he couldnât shake the feeling that her voice seemed oddly familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before.
He spotted Violet at once and greeted her with a faint smile. âViolet, what brings you here? Are you injured?â
Violet smiled and shook her head, âMy friend has a back injury, so Iâm here to accompany her.â
Upon hearing that voice, Majorie couldnât help but furrow her brow. Why did this. personâs voice sound so much like the scoundrel she encountered on the road?
She couldnât help but turn her head and found herself face to face with Abel, at strikingly handsome man.
Her eyes widened in surprise, and she exclaimed, âItâs you?â
Abelâs countenance stiffened as he recognized Majoric, his brows knitting into a deep frown. âSo, itâs you.â
Violet looked bewildered and inquired, âDo you two know each other?â
Majorie glared at Abel angrily and declared, âHeâs the arrogant man I mentioned earlier, the one who harassed me in broad daylight on the street!â
Violet felt slightly uncomfortable, realizing that Majorie had brought some emotional baggage into this encounter and Abel might not be the person she had described.
Abelâs countenance darkened upon hearing Majorieâs words. âSo, youâre suggesting that Iâm the one who got all handsy in broad daylight?â

Majorie shot him a piercing stare. âWhatâs the matter with you? Are you denying it?â
Abelâs expression turned sour. âYouâve got it all wrong. I was tending to your injuries!â
Majorie held her head high, her gaze filled with fury. âYou were laying hands on me!â
Abel was agitated. âYouâre completely unreasonable!â
Majorie retorted, âWhoâs being unreasonable here?â
Violet felt overwhelmed. This was her first time witnessing someone making Abel lose. his composure like this.
She quickly intervened, saying, âHold on, can we please stop arguing for a moment?â
Majoric glared at Abel and huffed but complied with Violetâs request..
Abelâs expression grew somewhat somber. Violet looked at him with a touch of helplessness. âDr. Fuller, please donât be angry. My friend probably didnât mean any harm, maybe just a bit emotionalâ¦â
Majorie interrupted Violet Webbâs words directly, feeling a bit agitated. âWhoâs getting emotional here? He was the one who targeted me first. I initially wanted to have a civil conversation with him, but he started spouting nonsense the moment he spoke!â
Abelâs complexion darkened. âWhoâs not conversing with some civility?â
Majorie, her n*eck rigid, shot back, âItâs you, no doubt!â
Violet, observing the mounting conflict, swiftly intervened. âHold on! None of you talk for a spell. Weâll sort this out one by one!â
Majorie clenched her teeth. âViolet, is this the kind of good-looking, skilled doctor. were talking about? I reckon Iâd be better off without treatment!â
you
Violet placed her hand on Majorieâs shoulder, her tone less than pleased as she stated, âHold your tongue for now. Let me figure out whatâs happening!â
Majoric pursed her l*ps and glanced at Violet, sensing a touch of irritation. She chose to remain silent.
