Chapter 35
My Wife Is An All-Around Expert
Chapter 35
Patrickâs eyes lifted slowly. âTell them to wait in the parlor go call for Violet.â
Eleanor was one of Robertâs cousins. Patrick agreed to meet her just for the sake of Robert.
Nelson nodded and exited the room.
Patrick remained seated for a moment, popped a mint into his mouth, and then got up to head to the parlor.
Upon entering the parlor, Patrick immediately spotted Benedict, who fell to his knees at once.
Benedict was covered in bruises from the beating Patrick had given him the previous night, and he hissed in pain as he went down on his knees.
Patrickâs face remained expressionless as he walked over and sat on the couch. Eleanorâs eyes flashed with a hint of infatuation as she spoke. She heard Gloria left the country, so Patrick was back to being single again.
She said with a smile, glancing at Patrick, âPatrick, I heard that Benedict upset you last night, so I brought him here today to apologize to you.â

Patrick raised his eyes slowly and replied, âApologize? Well, I donât really sense his sincerity.â
Eleanorâs smile froze. The apology was an excuse, but she hadnât expected Patrick to take it so seriously.
The jewelry industry in Summerwood City was wellâdeveloped, and Benedict was her cousin. The Turner family was also involved in the jewelry business.
However, Benedict was such a fool. He didnât recognize Patrick and had foolishly offended Patrick the previous night. As a result, several of the Turner familyâs business deals had fallen through that morning.
The Turner family was so anxious that they rushed to beg Eleanor for help.
She had decided to bring the hospitalized Benedict with her and take the initiative to visit Foreverie Jewelry to apologize to Patrick.
Eleanor, not an ordinary person herself, felt a moment of embarrassment, but she quickly regained her smile. âIf Patrick wants to see it, Iâll let him make amends to you.â
Patrick cast a sidelong glance at Eleanor and replied, âThereâs no need. Besides, youâre apologizing to the wrong person. The one he offended isnât me.â
Eleanor was stunned but maintained her smile. âI know. I heard he offended that new designer at your company, the one whoâs been making headlines on the internet, Violet, right?â
Hearing Eleanorâs description, Patrick looked slightly displeased. He grunted
lightly but didnât say anything.
Eleanor tugged at Benedictâs sleeve and said, âEven though Mr. Hersey said that you should apologize to him first, after all, Miss Webb is a valuable employee at Mr. Herseyâs company.â
Benedict seemed to snap back to reality and quickly bent over to apologize with his head hitting the marble floor with a thud, âMr. Hersey, Iâm truly sorry. Iâve been blind to my own mistakes. You are generous. Please forgive me this time. I really know I was wrong.â
Patrickâs eyes narrowed upon hearing his words. âYou know what? Itâs been a long time since Iâve hit someone myself.â
Benedict was a bit puzzled when he heard this and looked at Patrick with a confused expression.
Patrick coldly snorted and said, âI hit you because Iâve had enough, to the point where I couldnât even wait for my b*dyguard.â
Benedictâs face turned pale. He was deeply scared when he realized it was Patrick who had hit him.
His familyâs business had hit a rough patch several times in one day, and he understood that he had messed with the wrong person.
Eleanor observed Benedictâs pale face. Her expression changed. She looked at Patrick and said, âPatrick, this time, please forgive him. My cousin was unaware of the situation as well.â
Her gaze remained fixed on Patrick, paying attention to his change in expression. âI heard that it was the Webb familyâs idea at the time, suggesting that Benedict would marry Violet in the future. So no matter what happens, itâs okay. My cousin thought the same way, and didnât know that Miss Webb was unwilling beforehandâ¦â
Patrick looked up at her sarcastically. âReally? If you donât take a womanâs opinion into account on things like this, itâs not just a question of her willingness or not. Itâs rape. And not to mention, even within marriage, marital rape is illegal.â Eleanor smiled dryly, not knowing how to respond.
Seeing Patrick casually scrolling through his cell phone, she couldnât help but speak up, âPatrick, youâre not in love with Violet, are you?â
Upon hearing that, Patrickâs complexion changed slightly. This was the second time that day he had heard the same question.
He coldly glanced at Eleanor. âNo matter whether I am or not in love with her, in what capacity are you asking me about that?â
Eleanor froze for a moment, her expression stiffened. She struggled to maintain her smile.
Just then, Nelson knocked on the door and brought Violet in.
Eleanor felt a slight relief, but a hint of jealousy flickered in her eyes when she saw Violetâs exquisitely stunning face.
Patrick said in a calm tone, âNow she is here. If you want to apologize, then go ahead.â
Upon hearing that, Benedict knelt on the ground and crawled over to Violetâs side. He turned to her and bowed repeatedly, âMiss Webb, I was wrong. I am such an animal, no, Iâm worse than an animal. Please forgive me. I truly didnât mean to act that way last night. I did it because I listened to your fatherâs words. Please forgive me.â
