Chapter 149
The Stained Omega
Forgiveness.
(Fraction)
Watching Anna take charge has me hardening beneath her a ss, I canât help it, watching her pull full
Luna on people has that effect on me. Sheâs grown so much but it still shocks me when she suddenly
uses the authority sheâs been given. Honestly, if I could Iâd throw her down on my desk and f uck her
until I couldnât move anymore. I can feel the nerves running through her body as the slight shake gives
her away, she conflicted with the information thrown at her which I can understand. Itâs not that I knew
Elder Thomas was related to her but I had a very strong suspicion, itâs just that heâs so kind to her and
Iâve never seen that side to an Elder. Elder Iris is more of the Elderâs I
know and loath.
âTell me, what do you know that we donât?â I need to understand why the Elders have kept The
Shalamayne a secret because itâs not just our Pack who didnât know about them.
âThey
ey came here about fifteen years ago, they stayed relatively quite and used their prisons to contain
some of the rogues around.â Elder Thomas is trying to catch Annaâs eye but sheâs purposefully not
looking at him, âthey came when a set of twins were born in The South Claw Pack one of them was an
Omega and the other was not. This was enough to spark their interest, from what I understand the
family gave over the Omega.â I feel Anna draw in a breath as she listens to an Omega just being
handed over so casually.
âAnd you just let them take her? How old was she?â Anna sounds particularly upset which I can
understand as this is just yet another young Omega left with a sh itty upbringing.

âFrom what I understand she was barely two, at the time I was just an initiate so I had no say in this
matter. Anna, please understand.â Anna cuts him off by holding up her hand.
âDid someone sign off on them taking Aurora and James?â Elder Thomas is shaking his head before
Anna has even finished.
âNo, from what I understand a female called them from this Pack after a death in her family.â I have o
idea who this female is and I can feel the tension getting worse in Anna so I decide to give her an out.
âLittle wolf, why donât you go and see Thomas while me and the Elder chat?â Anna shakes her head
before crossing her arms and leaning back against my chest. âWe havenât had any deaths in the Pack
so I donât think itâs possible for the call to come from this Pack.â
âI donât know what to tell you, Alpha. That is all I know about them,â they shroud themselves in secrecy.
We didnât even know they were back in the country until last month.â The pleading look on his face.
makes me want to believe him but how do you believe someone who is you believe someone who is so
cryptic, âI understand you have one of their female shifters?â
The change in subject has Anna standing from me and walking around the desk. I thought she was
about to leave but instead she heads for the whiskey and pours two glasses before bringing one back
to me. Anna and drinking is never a great idea but I let it go given the information dropped on her
today.
âWhat about her?â I ask Elder Thomas.
âI know what she did but I ask you to please consider your own mateâs upbringing before condemning
her.â Anna scuffs as she downs her drink, âdonât make that noise, you of all people know that we can
not control how we are raised in this world. Do you think that young female asked to be raised in a cult
where she would be trained to do

unspeakable things?â
âSo we are meant to forgive her for taking our pup? She has her own mind and can make her own
choices!â Anna is getting angry now and I fully understand why.
âCould you have all those years ago? While under the rule of your father or John? If they had told you
to do something could you have refused?â Anna goes to say something but she must think better of it
as she closes her mouth and leans against the desk..
âI donât think Annaâs upbringing has anything to do with this.â I say in defence of my mate.
âThe female made the right decision in the end. Is she not sitting in your cells aiding you in anything
you ask? All I ask is that you donât condemn someone who has yet to make their own choices.â I get
what Elder Thomas is hinting at but I donât know if I have it in me to forgive Eva.
âWhy donât we table this for another time? Unless you have something more to tell us about The
Shalamayne then I think we are done now. Elder Thomas stands but doesnât make to leave, I raise my
eyebrow at him but he just looks at Anna.
âLuna, with your permission I would like to stay and aid in laying Beth to rest. She was a good friend of
mine and I would like to say goodbye.â Anna doesnât answer him but nods before looking away from
him.
âFind Eliza, she will get you a room.â I tell Elder Thomas, he looks at Anna again before getting a sad
look on his face and leaving the office.
Once we are alone I get up from my desk and walk over to the door, sliding the lock in place I turn to
Anna and cross my arms. Now we are alone Iâm sure Iâm about to get shouted at.

Forgiveness
âHow long did you know?â Anna asks in a whisper.
âI didnt for sure, I guessed. He either wanted you or knew you better than he was saying.â I walk over
to Anna, putting my finger under her chin. I tilt her face up to me, I see the tears balancing on her
lashes and carefully wipe them away. âThis is a good thing, little wolf. You have more family out there,
how could that possibly be bad?â
âHe lied to me.â I understand her feeling of betrayal, it seems everyone in Annaâs life has lied to her at
some point or another, myself included.
âHow about we focus on getting Aurora and James home, then we can deal with Elder Thomas and
how or if you want him in your life?â Anna takes my hand and brings it up to her face before nuzzling
into my palm.
âIâm so tired, Fraction. I just want my family whole. Why is that so hard?â I swipe my thumb across her
lips, I take a deep breath in as she opens her mouth and sucks on the pad of it.
âOnce we have them back Iâll show you the normal life you can have.â My eyes focus on her sucking on
my thumb as she looks up at me through her lashes. âNow isnât a good time little wolf, Rick should be
home anytime soon and he has information on the group moving.â I feel myself harden as she starts to
use her teeth on my thumb before letting it fall from her mouth.
âYou need to stop punishing yourself, I donât blame you for Aurora.â I take my hand back and go to turn
away for her, Iâm not ready to hear her forgive me for failing her. âDonât.â Anna grabs my arm to stop
me, âyou didnât do anything wrong. Neither of us did.â
âI love that you can forgive so easily but youâre wrong,â I kiss her forehead before stepping back from
her. âI pushed James away and he was taken. I was busy buried in you when Aurora was taken and my

mother was killed, trust me Anna, this is my fault. I will make it right. though.â
