“Ow, easy.” Cas strokes my hair as Selena swabs my as s with some stuff that stinks and stings like the

devil, “I’d actually like an as s when you’re done.” I mumble into the sofa pillow, Cas brought it from our

bed and I’m loving that it’s his and not mine. I keep rubbing my face against it, I feel like I can’t get

enough of his scent and touch.

“I doubt this is the worst thing that’s happened to this as s.” Selena speaks quietly but when I look at

her over my shoulder she wiggles her eyebrows at me which means she knows I heard her.

“She’s almost done, Angel.” Cas seems distracted as he talks, his eyes. are darting between the

curtained area where Heath is and the door, I know this office is not his favourite place to be.

“Go check on everyone, Selena will come and get you when I’m done.” I nod my head when he looks at

me, I can see his need to be with me but to also check on his Pack, he’s conflicted and he doesn’t

know

what to do.

“You’re sure?” He leans down and places a kiss on my cheek, “you’ll shout if you need me? I won’t

leave the house.” His breath in my ear has me closing my eyes in pleasure, for some reason I just want

him close and to not leave me but I know he needs to assess the damage done to the Pack.

“I’ll watch over her Alpha.” I glance to the side at the same time Selena dabs at my as s, I shout out as

Anna gently pushes Cas out of the way and takes his seat./

“If anything happens, scream.” All three of us chuckle as he literally backs out of the room, he doesn’t

take his eyes from me until he has rounded the corner.

“This feels too real to I scrunch my nose up as Selena

tongue out at me as she bends over my bare as s to apply more of that ointment.

“You’re not dreaming Luna,” I feel a blush work up my cheeks, being addressed as Luna by Anna just

feels wrong. “You get used to the Luna thing, it takes some time though.” Anna sits herself down on the

chair Cas left and works her small hand into mine, it’s almost like she understands that I need support.

She looks beautiful, she’s wearing tight jeans, knee high boots and a pale blue blouse, her long blonde

hair sweeping down in front of her like a waterfall made of sunshine.

“Sorry about this.” I mumble, I’m of course referring to my as s being on display to her and Selena, the

rest of me is covered by the blanket I had wrapped around me and Cas only a short time before.

“Don’t be sorry, I’ve been in much worse states than this.” Anna smiles down at me as she speaks, I

don’t know what she did but I suddenly feel very at ease,

ease, “Eva I came to talk to you because I have some information you need, Fraction is telling Cas

now.” Anna eyes glance over to Selena, “can we talk here?”

“Selena is my best friend, if she doesn’t hear from you she will hear it from me.” I look back at Selena

and see her smiling at me before going back to working on my as s.

“True, she tells me everything and I am very focused on a very pale behind right now.” All three of us

chuckle, Anna seems convinced and nods her head.

“My father was part of The Elders, he left after some issues about a year or so ago but he still has

friends there.” I feel my body tense and it has nothing to do with the stinging anymore, we haven’t

heard from The Elders since Iris gave me that grilling in Cas office. “They are coming Eva, they believe

you told Jeremy about shifters and as you are not a recognised Luna of Everfur they will be leaning

towards

execution.” Selena gasps at the same time as my heart plummets into. my stomach.

“Who says she’s not recognised, she’s right here, she’s my Luna.“ Selena sounds absolutely horrified

as she abandons my as s and comes up to head to grab my other hand, “she’s carrying the Alpha’s

pup!” Selena lowers her voice but it’s still almost like a whisper yell.

“Well obviously The Elders don’t know that so you can use that in your favour, Eva I’m only telling you

this so you can prepare a defence.” I look up at Anna but my vision has become blurry as tears

threaten to fall over.

“I was meant to be officially introduced to the Pack the night I was taken. If that had happened none of

this would be happening, right?” Anna nods her head with a sad look on her face, “Martha carries on

wrecking me from beyond the grave.” I can keep the bitterness out of my tone, part of me wishes I

could kill her again and I have a feeling it’s the very white furry part of me. “They won’t kill an Alpha’s

Heir.” Although I’m not sure that’s true I don’t phrase it like a question, I won’t let them kill mine and Ca

s’s pup.

“It will make them pause but Fraction isn’t convinced. We hope it will be enough but it might not be.”

Selena’s hand tighten in mine as A nnal looks between the two of us, “you need to make your

argument clearly and plainly, Thomas said that Iris is a no fuss no muss kind of female. She has no

room for emotion or things that aren’t strictly facts.” I nod my head, I already know most of this thanks

to my meeting with Iris previously.

“You’ll be here to help her though?” I grip Selena’s hand tighter, I appreciate her asking because I didn’t

know how to ask without sounding weak in front of another Luna.

“We can’t be, Fraction needs to get back to Swiftmane and we can’t be seen to be interfering with

another Pack and The Elders. I don’t have the best reputation with them.” Anna gets a slight blush to

her cheeks, I don’t know what she did to pi ss off The Elders but I bet it’s an interesting story.

“Little wolf?” Fraction’s voice booms across the room and Anna quickly stands up and starts to head

around the curtain covering us.

“Selena come and find me later, I want to give you our Doctor’s number, he can talk through all things

Omega pregnancy with you.” She doesn’t wait for a response and quickly disappears from view, left

alone with Selena we just stand there in silence and soak in what Anna told us.

“We will work this out, let’s get you finished up here and then we can go and find Cas.” I nod my head

at my crying friend, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Selena cry, it’s kind of worrying considering I know how

strong she is.

‘We need to train.’ Ghost sounds far away but I think that because of the stress and worry I’m currently

feeling.

“Train for dying?’ I hiss as Selena starts working on my as s again, I can

I’m not putting our pup at risk and fighting. I’m also not fighting a bunch of elderly robe wearers, I’ll

speak to cas and I’m sure there is another way around this.’ Ghost rolls her eyes at me as I feel Selena

“All done?” I ask her as I look over my shoulder.

“Yup, lets go and find Cas.” She holds up the blanket for me as I sit up. on the makeshift bed and grab

the pillow I was leaning on. There is no way I am leaving that here, it smells too da mn good.

“I didn’t ask, how’s Heath and the rest who came to help?” I feel awful for not asking before now,

Selena wraps me in the blanket around me as I place the pillow against my stomach.
