Chapter 87
The Stained Omega
One wrong decision.
(Faye)
âYou didnât even kill him.â I rage, my anger only gets more intense as I look around at the old lady floral
lounge Iâm currently hiding in.
âWill you keep your voice down, he might be g ay but my neighbours still have ears.â I roll my eyes at
her. Leon is not home, he will be at the medical centre gathering around Fraction and his little Omega.
âHeâs let her back in, sheâs at the medical centre right now.â I jump up for the plastic covered sofa, âand
here I am, relegated back to the depths with you.â
âOh Iâm sorry. hereâs me thinking you wanted me to help. If Iâm such a burden you can find your way to
the door.â I look at her and her smug little smile, I take slow deep breaths and remind myself that I canât
hit a little old woman.
âNothin you have done has helped me. The herbs are useless and only worked that one time, he wonât
even look at me let alone touch me.â I watch as she puts her knitting needles down and picks up her
coffee
cup.
âI got you the Luna spot, I canât force a mating. Even though Iâm not that strong, Iâm sorry to be the
bearer of bad news dear but your father has been spinning you a yarn. That Alpha is not nor will he
ever be, your mate.â I shake my head in denial, I know sheâs lying, Fraction is mine. We are meant to
be together.
âYouâre lying, itâs written.â she just sits there and sips at her drink like my whole world is not imploding
around me.

One wrong decision.
1.
âThe Greyloneâs have hated the Alphaâs family for long before you were born and it will continue long
after you are gone.â She says. cryptically.
âIt doesnât matter, heâs my mate. Not hers,â I shout loudly, âIâve known this for a long time! Itâs written in
the journals, Iâm to be a great Luna.â
âHave you seen them? Does it name you specifically?â I donât answer her. I havenât seen them but itâs
besides the point. My father wouldnât lie to me, not about this. Storming out of the house I slam the
door so hard I hear a picture fall from the wall and beak. I smile knowing Iâve just caused her some kind
of pain. Everything in that house is precious to the old bat so seeing something broken will devastate
her.
Looking across the road I see the damage Mrs Jacobs car has done to the park lawn. itâs all rucked up
and torn apart, sniffing I can smell Thoma sâs blood in the air. Itâs soaked into the ground so it will stink
for days, or at least until we have a good strong rain. Smiling to myself I head off towards the coffee
house, maybe some coffee will settle this pit in my stomach. I hate to say it but the old bat has put
some doubt in my mind, maybe Iâm not meant to be his. Maybe Anna is his rightful mate, not like it
matters. Iâm here now and Iâm not letting go of the Luna spot for anything or anyone. Walking past the
bakery I see the guy Anna came with, I havenât been in here since I covered the shift and gave Anna
that cake. Apparently Susan doesnât want anyone but her in the kitchen these days. The poor woman
doesnât realise that I baked the dam n cake at home, not in her kitchen. I decide to stop and have a
chat with Annaâs new male friend, maybe I can talk him into making a move on her. Perhaps if sheâs
busy getting her needs met. elsewhere then she will leave me and mine alone.
I stop next to the streetlamp just opposite the door of the bakery and wait for him to come out. It doesnât
take long before Mr Tall, Dark and Brooding comes stomping out the tiny bakery holding a small bag of
goodies. If I know anything about Anna then thatâs got to be chocolate

cake.
âShe used to make him buy it for her, I see she has a new wolf on a leash.â I say as if speaking to
myself, his eyes connect with mine and I see the moment he realises who I am.
âFaye.â he nods before taking a step as it to walk away from me.
âLuna, actually but Iâll ignore the disrespect. So your Annaâs new play thing? Must be pretty sure of
yourself if you left her alone with Fraction.â I slide my eyes over him as if Iâm appreciating the view.
âIâm no oneâs plaything.â He seethes stepping closer to me, as he does his eyes widen and his nostrils
flare.
âWhat are you doingââ I ask him recoiling away from him, he drops the bag of baked good and drags
me to him by my wrist. His grip is really tight and as much as I try I canât seem to pull away from him.
âGet oll me!â I scream loudly and the few people on this side of the street actually cross the road to get
away from us. His nose is right in my hair and I hear him take a deep sniff.
âYou know what I find interesting. Faye?â He whispers in my ear. I shake my head, too scared to
actually speak. âI find it really interesting that wolves all over the country are looking for Jellerson and
yet here you are stinking of him.â He lets go of my wrist and because I was still trying to pull away from
him I land on the side of the road on my as s, He comes down to my level by crouching down on his
feet. ânow tell me, why do you smell like Jefferson and for once in your lifeâ¦donât lie.â
I wrack my brain to come up with an excuse, any excuse but nothing is coming to mind as this massive
male stares me down..
âDonât want to tell me? Well, letâs see what Alpha has to say.â With that he picks up the bakery bag and
strolls off towards the medical

centre. As soon as he rounds the corner Iâm up on my feet and running all out to my home, once Iâm
there I barge through the front door and straight down to the basement. Simon was sitting in the kitchen
but I didnât even bother to stop to talk to him.
âFather, we have to move him,â I yell as I make my way down the
stairs.
âWhy?â My father asks as he steps back from a very broken Jefferson, my family havenât gone easy on
him the last few days. Heâs lost weight because they donât feed him, he stinks because they donât clean
him and heâs got some many different cuts, marks and bruises I can barely make out the man
underneath. Heâs missing chunks of his hair and his mouth is puffy and swollen from having teeth
removed.
âAnna is here and she brought this male with her and he smelled him on me. Heâs on his way to the
Alpha right now,â I manage to brace myself before his hand connects with my jaw but I still stumble
backwards.
âDa mn it girl. Canât you do anything right. Simon, come help me move this pathetic thing.â He walks
over to the sink and grabs a bottle of bleach. âmake yourself useful and scrub the room, I donât want
one trace of him here when the Alpha comes knocking.â I nod my head at him as I take the bleach.
Together my father and Simon manage to get Jefferson from the chair, I think heâs unconscious
because when they make him stand his head just rolls around.
âIs he dead?â I ask quietly.
âNot yet.â My father responds before he puts his hands under Jeffersonâ s arms and waits for my
brother to get his feet. It takes some manoeuvring but they manage to get him outof the basement. I
donât ask where they are taking him. I just unscrew the bottle of bleach and up end it so its contents
trickles to the floor. Sure the basement will

stink of bleach when Fraction gets here but at least it wonât smell of Jefferson.
