Sheraton International Hotel Chain has a total of ten shareholders, the largest of whom owns 30% of the shares, and the second largest-Song Yichen owns 20% of the shares. The remaining fifty percent of the shares are split among the other eight shareholders.

Of these, the share owned by the Huatai Group is relatively largest, at ten percent, with the rest only holding a few percent.

Some time ago, Song Yichen bought an additional three percent from another shareholder. If he could obtain Huatai’s ten percent, he would become the major shareholder of Sheraton Hotel and have decision-making power.

“Yes, he is!”

The assistant hesitated before cautiously saying, “Manager Lin, Mr. Song is in a bad mood right now. Are you sure you want to go in…?”

Lin Xiangwan again smiled gently, “I understand. Thank you.”

Is he in a bad mood because of me? Lin Xiangwan thought bitterly to herself.

He had always said he wanted to marry her, but now he has another girlfriend, does he not know how to break up with her?

Well, then, let her be the one to end things!

She had spent the whole night thinking and realized how much she truly envied Ni Shanshan, how much she actually hated her.

She couldn’t wait to expose the fact that Ni Shanshan had never lent Song Yichen money to save his life!

But… how could she do that?

Lin Xiangwan’s heart filled with guilt and self-blame at the thought.

She knew she could not marry Song Yichen, and if he has another girlfriend, she should extend her blessings and support him!

Since she was struggling to adopt such a mindset, resignation was her only choice.

“Come in!” Song Yichen answered in a deep voice.

The door opened, and Lin Xiangwan walked in!

Seeing her, Song Yichen was obviously taken aback, and then, putting on a stern face, he said, “I didn’t call you!”

The subtext being, how dare you come here!

His gaze filled with anger. His affection for a woman who never expressed any love for him was a mistake from the start.

Especially after he was mocked by Ni Shanshan the previous night, his anger only intensified.

With a composed smile, Lin Xiangwan pulled out a letter of resignation from her bag, placed it gently on the desk, and slid it towards him.

Song Yichen’s expression instantly solidified, he looked at her in confusion. “What do you mean?”

Lin Xiangwan responded with a bland smile, which was the only thing masking her inner pain. “I’m resigning. I want to find another job.”

Song Yichen abruptly stood up and walked towards her, “Find another job? Great! If you don’t want to be the Guest Room Department Manager, I can transfer you to another position!”

Lin Xiangwan shook her head. “I don’t want to continue working in a hotel. I think it’s not right for me.”

“How isn’t it suitable for you? Isn’t it perfect for you? You’ve always done an excellent job. The guests like you, and the staff does too!” Song Yichen desperately grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. “Wanwan, don’t leave me. I need you.”

Lin Xiangwan suddenly felt her nose sting, and her heart began to well up with sadness. She tried to restrain her tears. “I’m not that good. My job is simple; anyone can do it. Yichen, really, I want to… I want to leave Sheraton and do something I enjoy.”

She truly loved him so much. The moment he attempted to retain her, she felt her resolve crumbling into pieces.

She yearned to stay by his side and, if possible, never leave him for the rest of her life.

“No, no one would be like you, putting their heart and soul into working for me! You’re very smart and tactful in communication. The guests listen to you. Truly, I can’t find another manager like you!” Song Yichen kept praising her, complimenting her strengths.

“There are many people who would definitely do better than me. Like Manager Ni, she loves you, and she’s also very skilled at her job…”

Don’t try to persuade her again; she really has to leave!

“But I can’t be without you!” Song Yichen held her tightly, confessing in her ear. “Is it because of the message she sent last night? So, you’re upset and want to leave? I can tell you; she did that last night because I intentionally let her. I just wanted to test you to see if you still have feelings for me! All these days and you never took the initiative to find me!”

Was that true? Did he really arrange this on purpose?

Lin Xiangwan’s heart trembled as though revived from death. A sense of joy swept over her.

Seeing her resistance weaken, Song Yichen further explained. “Nothing happened between us last night. I admit I was so angry that I took her home, but in the end, I told her to leave!”

Lin Xiangwan shook her head vehemently, telling him and herself. “Yichen, it doesn’t matter who you date. I won’t have any objections. I will only bless you. Really, we’re not suitable together. Let’s just be siblings!”

“Wanwan, forgive me. I spoke harshly last time. Ranran needs to go to a key primary school right? I can pull some strings to let Ranran go to the best school. Will you forgive me?” Song Yichen continued to apologize.

“This has nothing to do with Ranran. I am serious!”
