The teacher subtly touched her hairstyle and her anger subsided a bit. “Always the sweet talker, aren’t you!”

Lin Haoran thought to himself: shouldn’t it be that ‘Lin Haoran’ is the sweet talker, not ‘Qin Yutong’?

“Have you found Lin Haoran yet?” the teacher asked again.

“I’ve not found him yet, I’m looking too! Teacher, I just came from over there, you can check over this way!” he pointed in a direction.

“Uh…” The teacher resignedly went off searching.

When Lin Haoran saw Junjun and Qin Yutong part ways, he took the opportunity to approach Junjun while no one else was around. “Brother Junjun, do you still like me?”

Xiao Chengjun replied with a cool expression. “I didn’t really want to like you, but you just said you like me, so I guess I can’t dislike you!”

Lin Haoran inwardly felt sorry for Qin Yutong: Yutong, he doesn’t really care about you.

The more furious Xiao Chengjun became, the calmer he tried to stay. This was something his father had taught him. Finally, he realized the issue. “You’re not Tongtong!”

“Ah…” Lin Haoran feigned surprise.

“Speak up, who are you?” Xiao Chengjun grabbed ‘her’ wrist tightly.

“Ah…” Lin Haoran cried out in pain again. “What’s wrong with you? Can’t you accept that a girl doesn’t like you?”

Just then, Qin Yutong was coming over, having heard the argument, especially since she recognized the voices.

“Junjun, what’s going on?”

Xiao Chengjun let out a relieved laugh. “Tongtong, someone is pretending to be you again!”

“Someone’s pretending to be me?” Qin Yutong quickly ran up to see what was going on.

After a bout of struggling, the wig ‘Qin Yutong’ had been wearing slipped off her head, revealing a short-haired figure.

Qin Yutong was well acquainted with this person, but still stared in shock when she saw her face to face.

It was the first time Lin Haoran had seen Qin Yutong’s true face. He was so taken aback by her face that he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

He knew that he looked very much like her, but he had not expected them to be this alike; more alike than in photos, like seeing another version of himself, only she was a girl!

Unlike the two who had mentally prepared themselves, Xiao Chengjun was genuinely shocked. “Are you two twins? Right?”

Qin Yutong and Lin Haoran exchanged glances before shaking their heads simultaneously.

Lin Haoran agreed. “I did have a sister when I was born, but she died soon after, causing much grief to my mom!”

Xiao Chengjun listened carefully to everything that was being said. “Tongtong, he said his mother indeed gave birth to twins, and the other one was a girl!”

Lin Haoran nodded. “Yes, but she died, so you definitely can’t be my sister!”

Qin Yutong hit Lin Haoran on the head.

“Ah… it hurts, why are you hitting me!” Lin Haoran rubbed the back of his head, complaining unhappily.

Qin Yutong genuinely wished to knock some sense into him. “Are you out of your mind? Couldn’t that girl be me? Couldn’t it be that I didn’t die?”

“24th June 2010!” Qin Yutong slowed down her speech.

Brief shock quickly gave way to sadness as Qin Yutong fought back tears. “I didn’t die, but mom said I did. She must not have liked me.”

“No, my mom really thought you died. Every time my birthday comes around, she would cry and always tell me that I have a sister!” Lin Haoran hurried to defend his mom, fearing she would be misjudged.

Qin Yutong held her breath and asked in disbelief. “Is it true?”

“Yes, I swear!”

Qin Yutong looked a little relieved. “Then how come she thought I died?”

“I don’t know!” Lin Haoran was very anxious. “What about dad? Does he know I exist?”

Qin Yutong thought for a moment and shook her head. “Probably not.”

Lin Haoran, feeling greatly overlooked, couldn’t help feeling bitter. “Why? As my father, how can he not know I exist?”
