Chapter 30

Alpha Of Aberdeen

It's been five days since I died and came back to life. I am currently cooking breakfast for Malachi

while feeding Paisley. The house has been quiet ever since Marley and the kids had to leave back to

New York. They all promised to never speak of what they saw. I now have two more days until the

full moon to be changed, and I'm terrified to be a werewolf. I'm still worried it's going to change

who I am as a person and I'll lose my humanity.

I walk to Paisley's swing to put her down so I can finish cooking and when I am back at the stove, I

flip the bacon and stir the eggs. Malachi walks in, coming up behind me, wrapping his toned arms

around my waist. I feel my nipples instantly get hard at the feeling of his chiseled chest against my

back. "How are my girls this morning?" Malachi asks, kissing the back of my neck. "Wolfman, you are

asking for it, aren't you?" I say, spinning around to face him. “Maybe I am," He says with a wolfish

grin. I smirk, then pinch his nipple hard. "Ouch," He yelps, and I laugh. "I thought you were an

Alpha? Aren't you supposed to be tough?" I tease, still cracking up covering my mouth.

Malachi scowls at me and picks me up high in the air. "Malachi put me down," I squeal, and of

course, he listens, but he puts me on top of the refrigerator. "Malachi Jacobson, get me down right

now. I'm still cooking. It's going to burn,” I demand sternly, eyeing the pans on the stove. Malachi

laughs, but comes back and brings me down, setting my feet on the floor. "You look cute when

you're helpless” He laughs, kissing my forehead. I slap his toned tush and walk back to the stove.

I finish cooking and put the food on a plate then bring it to the table where Malachi sits reading

something on his phone. "What is going on for today?" I ask curiously. "I have a meeting with the

council since I have to turn you in a couple of days. They need to know my plans.” He explains,

looking so cute being an Alpha. I sit down, looking at Malachi. "What if they don't want you to

change me?" I ask with worry. "The council usually doesn't like when we associate with witches, but I

am the Alpha, and this is my pack. At the end of the day, it's up to me to decide who I want in my

pack." He declares, putting his hand in mine. "Luna, I promise nothing will stop me from changing

you," Malachi says, kissing my hand.

After Malachi finishes his breakfast, I pick up his plate and take it to the sink to wash, but suddenly

he runs up behind me, picking me up and putting me back on the fridge. "Malachi, this isn't funny,”

I glare down at him. "I've got a meeting, so I'll see you later, Luna " He winks, blowing a kiss to me

and walks out. "DAMNIT MALACHI!!!" I yell furiously. Malachi walks back in with a victorious smile as

he walks over, getting me down for a second time. "I love you, Chloe, and I love the way your nose

scrunches when you're mad" He laughs, bringing his lips to mine, leaving a soft kiss. He pulls away

and my body aches for his touch as I watch him walk out, smiling around the corner.

Paisley starts crying, so I walk over to pick her up. I take her upstairs to bathe her, then put her

down for a nap. After Paisley's bath, I sit in the rocking chair in her nursery, breastfeeding her while

singing her a lullaby. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." When Amelia walks in. "Hey Chloe,"

she says softly, careful not to wake Paisley. "Amelia, what's the matter?" I ask, concerned. She looks

at me with sadness. "Chloe, I never wanted any of this to happen to you. I feel like all this is my fault

for inviting you to the ball," She says with tears falling down her cheeks.

I stand to put Paisley in her crib then walk to Amelia. "Amelia, I don't regret any of this, not one bit. I

found the man of my dreams and I have a beautiful daughter with him all because of you and I

always thought it was so cool you were a wolf, so now I get the chance to be one with you,” I say

pulling her into a hug. "Chloe, I love you so much. When you died, I felt like my whole world was

gone,” she says through sniffles. I grab Amelia's face and meet her eyes with my own. "I'm here

now, and I'm not going anywhere, okay," I swear, smiling. She pulls me into a tight hug while

releasing a sigh of relief. “I better go. Paul is waiting for me downstairs. We have a sonogram today,"

she says, wiping her face. "I can't wait to meet my nephew," I say, making her smile so big she could

burst. "Love you, Chloe. See you later,” She says, giving me one last hug then walking out.

I go to my room, fold some clothes, and get ready to shower when I feel like my soul is taken from

my body, bringing me back to that day. I'm looking down at myself in Malachi's arms and see him

crying, begging me to wake up. I stand over him for a moment, and I can't hold my tears back, but

then I'm in fast forward. It brings me to Malachi throwing the couch into the wall, enraged. I try to

reach for him, to stop him and let him know I'm here, but I'm ripped from the scene and brought

back to the present. I gasp like I was holding my breath the whole time and start crying

uncontrollably.

When Malachi comes into the room, he sees I'm slumped against the wall and drenched in sweat

like it was a nightmare. "LUNA! What happened?!" He says, rushing to my side, frantically searching

my eyes. I look up to him, breathing heavily. "I don't know what is happening,” I say with such

exhaustion. Malachi stares bewildered. "We should go to the doctor,” He says with worry all over his

face. I bring my hands to his face and caress his cheek softly. “I'm okay. I just keep having these

visions. It's like they carry me out of my body and send me to the day I died. I see my family and

you mourning over me, but I can't comfort you." I explain sobbing. "You're saying you could see

us?" He asks, confused. "Yes, I saw it all. You were throwing a couch at the wall, begging me to wake

up. I felt like I was there right now, reliving the day over and over,” I tell him fiddling with a fray off

my jeans.

"Oh, Luna, I'm so sorry," Malachi says, pulling me onto his lap. "I'm fine. Maybe they will stop when I

am changed,” I tell him, avoiding his eyes because I feel if I look at him, I will not be able to control

my emotions. Malachi pulls my chin to face him. "Luna, you will be yourself again soon," He says,

using his thumb to rub my cheek.

Malachi stands, helping me up off the floor, then wraps his strong arms around me. At that

moment, I feel like nothing else matters.
