The Alpha King’s Hated Slave Chapter 229
The Alpha King's Hated Slave
It was like a blow to Danikaâs cheeks. Tears stung her eyes, but she blinked hard to keep it away.
âYou know how impossible that is. If you love him so much, why will you wish such great pain on him by killing his only child? Knowing fully well that he canât sire another?â
Silence. For a few seconds, the silence was deafening.
Then, Vetta uncoiled from the ground, sitting up with her back to the cold wall, her hate-filled held Danikaâs. âWhat do you mean by that!? What do you mean that he canât sire anotherâ¦?â
At the clear confusion in her voice, it dawned on Danika that the Mistress doesnât know of the Kingâs condition.
She snapped her mouth shut. It wasnât her place to reveal it, but the Kingâs.
And even if she does reveal that the King canât bear a child because of his roasted phallus that scarred him and killed most of the nerves in his loins, the Mistress will practically spit fire. After all, it was still her fatherâs doing.
âI will come back more often to check on you, and bring you more food.â She responded, instead.
âThat will be very foolish of you.â Vettaâs eyes narrowed.
â We already established a long time ago that I am foolish.â Danika turned towards the door, âEat your pies, Mistress, so the bugs will not eat it for you. I will be back with more.â
Footsteps silent in the rough ground of the dungeon, she opened the heavy door and walked past it.
The sound of the deadbolt locking and the chains rattling back into their place was heard as the guard locked up. Then, the sound of footsteps fading followed.
Pretence. All pretence. She will still leave him. He will free her and she will leave him. She will hurt him.
Vetta glanced at the pie on the other end of the room, and to the door, and back at the pie again.
She turned and laid back on the ground, facing the wall. Her anger receded because sheâs alone once again, replaced by confusion.
Sheâs here loosing her sanity everyday, and Coneâs daughter is outside there with her freedom and the King in her beck nâ call, yet she is loosing her sanity too.
The woman has gone mad.

âSo, tell me about the wooden spikes! I havenât seen you make that before, but you did today!â Kamara drew happily, holding Declanâs arm secured to hers as they walked through the words back to his home.
âWell, itâs owned by the blind woman down the road. People call her a witch but she isnât. I told you that three women saved my life, right?â Callan held her tightly. He was having the best time of his life because sheâs by his side.
âYes, you did. The one who gave you water to drink when you were left for death. The one who carted you all the way here. Andâ¦â she smiled prettily, ââ¦the one who nursed you back to life.â
âThat was you, my lady.â He confirmed again, and she giggled, clinging to his arm.âYou nursed me back to health, and the blind woman down the streetâ¦? She was the woman that drove me all the way here.â
âWoah! I guessed because you were so good to her, and you didnât take any money from her after your services, but hearing you confirm itâ¦itâs fascinating.â
He smiled in remembrance. âI was injured and on the road, begging for a lift from anybody. Everyone that drove past me drove fast away. You know, people are scared⦠Seeing a dirty, half-dead man all beaten and bruised, not so far from the palace.â
âTheyâd think you were a runaway prisoner and theyâll get in trouble for helping you.â She added.
âExactly.â He took a very long step forward, crossing a gutter. He whirled around and offered his hand, which Kamara held onto and crossed over too. She smiled in gratitude. He smiled back in acceptance.
They continued walking. âThey all drove away. I was beginning to loose hope like I was loosing so much b***d. I was about to die. But, this old woman stood and drove me. She hid me in her cart, and we drove all the way here.â
âOne of the reasons people call her a witch is because sheâs able to drive anywhere, even though, sheâs as blind as a bat.â
âThat baffles me too, but,â he shrugged, âI consider it a blessing for her. Sheâs doing so fine on her own.â
âAnd, she has a hefty man now that will fight off anyone that tries to make her life miserably again.â
âAnd she also has a princess too.â He added.
Kamara bobbed her head, smiling radiantly. âA princess who will fight her battles too, because sheâs in love with her hefty man.â
Callanâs cheeks turned ruby and his steps faltered. Heâd never get used to her saying those things to him. âI love you too.â
Her steps drew to a stop too. She leaned up and kissed him pleasantly. But, as always Callan takes the k**s to the next level.
His hand around her neck, holding her to him, he kissed her with the fervor of a starving man. His lips devoured hers, his tongue stroking into her mouth with the same methodology of love making.
By the time he pulled back, they were shivering with desire for each other. Their breaths erratic.
âI hunger for you badly, my lady. I think it will drive me insane.â He admitted as he pulled back.
âMe too. Oh, Callan, if only weâre able to consumate this love we have for each otherâ¦â
âYes. Sadly, we arenât able to. I canât keep it together long enoughâ¦â His voice was filled with sadness.
She shook her head, âNot to worry. I am most happy just seeing you and being with you whenever I can. One day, we will be able to.â
They resumed walking, almost in front of his home. âWhat if Iâm not able toâ¦? What if I never regain my memories? What if my mind is never able to let go of the traumas of my suffering in the palaceâ¦â
âIâll still be here, Callan. I will still be with you because I will still love you.â She responded with a smile.
âPathetic! So so pathetic.â Came the new voice as they walked into the vicinity of Callanâs home.
Kamara gasped as she saw the Mistress Donna smiling with evil intent. There were guards with her.
