Chapter 100
Alpha’s Thrice Rejected Mate
Chapter 100
âShh!â I whispered to Jamie, âyouâre going to wake the baby!â
Jamie growled, nipping the inside of my thigh,
I bit my l*p against a moan.
âHow are we supposed to make a baby if weâre afraid weâll wake the baby?â Jamie grumbled.
âJamie! Heâs three months old!â I whisper-yelled. âHow many do you want?!â
Jamie licked his way up my b*dy and nuzzled my breast. âAs many as you see fit to give
me.â
I laughed softly and tugged at his hair, so he looked up at me. Jamie, at this rate, weâll have a thousand.â
Jamie licked a bead of milk off my n*pple, his eyes dark with desire. âThen weâll add on to the castle,â he purred.
Snorting. I spread my legs wider and leaned my head back. âAlright. I give up. Letâs have another.â
Jamie grinned and sheathed himself in my b*dy.
I fisted my hands in the sheets. Goddess, but he was big
âDonât wake the baby,â Jamie teased, and I didnât realize until that moment that I had let out a little yowl.
I whimpered as he thrust hard and fast inside me. âJamie.. please⦠Iâm going to⦠Iâm going to make so⦠much noiseâ¦â
Jamie fused his l*ps over mine. He was single-minded when it came to seeing me swollen with his child.
-I cried out against his l*ps, my b*dy tightening around his c*ck. Jamie groaned and.
spurted his seed into me.
Then, much to my surprise, Jamie cupped my aâs and started again.
A few hours, several rounds of S**, and a long, luxurious bath later, Jamie and I rested. outside in the garden while Margot happily chased butterflies.
Aunt Louisa gave us a knowing look while I cradled James Jr. against my breast, the little man cating with great gusto. âShall we be expecting another soon?â Aunt Louisa smiled.
Jamie slid a hand over my belly. âOh, I hope so.â
âAnother what?â Margot asked, finally tiring and plopping down on the blanket next to us.
âAnother baby,â I said carefully. âIs that okay?â
Margotâs smile was wide. âOh, that would be so wonderful! Maybe this one will be a girl, and we can play together.â
Jamie chuckled. âYou can play with James, even though heâs a boy.â
Margot wrinkled her hose. âI donât know about that. Boys are stinky.â
I burst into giggles, almost dislodging James from my breast. He made a disgruntled noise, and Jamie put his arm around mine to hold our baby there.
âI donât think Iâm stinky,â Jamie said, smelling his armpit.
Margot rolled her eyes. âBoys never know theyâre stinky.â
Jamie k*ssed my n*eck. âDo you think Iâm stinky?â
I blushed. âNo, I donât think youâre stinky at all
âYouâre both always so lovey-dovey,â Margot groaned. âAnd if you keep k*ssing Mama, Daddy, sheâs going to have, like, a thousand babies.â
Jamie choked on a laugh. âYou think babies come from k*ssing?â
âOf course,â Margot said authoritatively. âWhere else would they come from?â
âOoo, walked right into that one,â Aunt Louisa chuckled.
It was Jamieâs turn to blush. âNever you mind,â he said to Margot. âYouâre not old enough to know that yet.â
âItâs a secret?â Margot asked.
âA big one,â Jamie replied.
Margot sighed theatrically. âIâm never old enough to know anything.â
âIâm sure your governess wouldnât say that,â I smiled.
Margot stretched out on the blanket, putting her feet in Jamieâs lap. âIsnât the sky so blue?â
Jamie and I looked at each other with sofi smiles, then at Margot. âYes, the sky is so blue.â
âI canât believe I was missing this,â Margot went on.
Jamie booped Margotâs nose. âWeâre happy you can see it now, sweetheart.â
âMe, too.â Margot yawned and stretched.
âIs Bennett still visiting Freya?â I asked Jamie.
Jamie chuckled. âOh, he SAYS heâs heading an expedition into Ashbluff territory, but I know heâs visiting a certain witch.â
âTheyâre going to get married and have babies, and then James will have someone to play with,â Margot said wistfully.
âAre you seeing that?â I asked after a moment, worried the nightmares might return. Margot giggled and shook her head. âNo. But I just know it. Thatâs how grown-ups are.â
It occurred to me then that Margot didnât have any playmates. I frowned and looked at Jamie. âJamie, maybe we should arrange a playdate for-â
My words were interrupted by a rustling sound. Soon, a wild-haired little redhead came
tumbling over the wall into the garden.
Margot let out a happy cry and ran over to hug her.
I stared at Jamie. Jamie stared at me.
âMama, Daddy, this is Crystal,â Margot said, bringing a girl about her age over to see us. âShe lives in the village.â
âThatâs⦠lovely. But Crystal, dear, you donât have to come in over the w-â Then my brain clicked, and I laughed. âYouâve been taking bread from the kitchen.â
Crystal blushed as red as her hair. âUmmâ¦â
âAre you hungry?â Aunt Louisa asked while Jamie opened his mouth to say something. else.
The expression on his face was not one of happiness. I squeezed his thigh, and Jamie. reluctantly closed his mouth.
Crystalâs stomach rumbled, and Aunt Louisa got to her feet, taking the little girlâs hand. âCome along.â Aunt Louisa said kindly. âLetâs get you fed. Itâs just about lunchtime for all of us, anyway.
âThank you,â Crystal replied softly as Aunt Louisa led her away.
Margot trotted after them, chatting away to Crystal about everything that had happened that day.
Jamie kept frowning. âAre we sure itâs a good idea to have a thief in the castle?â
I k*ssed his cheek. âI think itâs a great idea. Besides, what could she possibly steal that weâre going to miss more than she and her family need it?â
Jamie pursed his l*ps. âYou have a good point there.â
I looked at the wall and the disheveled vinery that now occupied it. âYou know, I met Freya this same way.â
âIâm not so sure that was a good thing.â Jamie grouched.
I giggled and handed a sated James over to his father. âWell, Margot needs SOMEONE to get into trouble with.â
âHmph.â Jamie looked unconvinced but seemed willing to take my lead. âCook is going to be beside herself if Crystal takes her skillet.â
âI donât think a used skillet will fetch that big a price at the market,â I pointed out.. âBesides, with all of the changes we are making, there wonât be any poor people in the villages much longer who will need to steal.â
Jamie grunted again and shrugged in agreement with what I had said. He stood with James in one arm. He sn*ked the other one around my waist as I stood.
âIf Crystal turns out to be a witch, weâre going to have words,â Jamie grumbled.
I swatted Jamieâs arm. âCome on, now, what are the odds of that?â
We made our way back to the castle, where the messy, d*rty Crystal was seated at the long
table in the dining hall next to Margot. They were thick as thieves with their heads together, giggling over something I couldnât hear.
âCook will never forgive me if I let them steal her pies,â Jamie murmured.
I just laughed. âI once had a big adventure with Freya involving tarts.â
âTarts?â Jamie echoed.
âYes. We used to steal things from our cook as well,â I grinned. âOnce, we stole tarts. There was flour and jelly everywhere.â
Jamie groaned, then groaned again when he saw Aunt Louisa dishing up some mashed potatoes for Crystal. âIâm completely outnumbered here, arenât I?â
I patted his arm. âDonât worry. Iâm sure nothing catastrophic will happen.â
Jamie snorted. âWeâll see.â
